Parasite (2019)
9/10
Clever plot that twist with a surprise call it good verus bad, rich against poor, overall great film!
21 January 2020
Director Bong Joon-Ho really did it with his latest picture "Parasite" as it is one entertaining dark suspense drama that is revealing as the plot twist with a surprise which brings change for all of the characters. Despite reading subtitles the film is thrilling and entertaining as it involves the poor Ki-taek family who have a young boy and girl who become tutors to the kids of the wealthy Park family only a scheme really lies underneath it all only an incident happens and a discovery changes the game for all, still the Ki-taek family is stubborn and proud as they will do anything to survive. Overall good take and spin on class that's supported by shrewdness, suspense, intrigue, drama, and pumping black heart like comedy. "Parasite" by far by the way it entertains and grabs you was one of 2019's best films.

What Did Jack Do? (I) (2017)
8/10
A parody short of a classic detective period piece that's funny and strange!
21 January 2020
Well leave it up to David Lynch as he has done it again make some work that entertains and twist in a funny and strange way. "What Did Jack Do?" which is a "Netflix" exclusive features Lynch himself as a detective hot on a case and he's interviewing his suspect however that is "Jack" and he's a little monkey! The script is funny and strange with foul words and the monkey remembering the past as he sings, shot in black and white to give a real throwback mystery type feel this short entertains and delivers!

The Two Popes (2019)
7/10
A comparison and contrast of styles with different thoughts and points of view.
21 January 2020
"The Two Popes" is more than a movie about religion or faith, really you could call the picture a bio and somewhat of a drama. Actually the match may not be made in heaven as the film is a spotlight of two famous century figures of the Vatican first conservative Pope Benedict(Anthony Hopkins in another great performance) and the liberal Pope Francis(Jonathan Pryce). The movie set at the end of Benedict's tenure in 2013 shows the clashes that the two have over the church doctrine, clearly both of these men are very different as Benedict a traditionalist who doesn't want change, and Francis is clearly a man of change who feels like the church is on a new path and transition due to scandal and self doubt.

As the film holds true to the headlines as all remember the Vatican turmoil over the corruption and sexual abuse scandal of children being molested by priests. The film still is mainly a work of conversations between the two central characters as it's a wealth of information of real life believers and beliefs, really in some sense you may see the film as a debate of views. As both are trying to find common ground the movie does blend some of today's society as religion and politics need to find common ground. And the acting was brilliant as the film is touching and thought provoking.

Wild crazy music video of moving arms and legs!
16 January 2020
Remember this hit song from 1988 as a kid one of my favorites from the rock band "The Escape Club" and the tune was different far out upbeat and had a catch to it. The song was "Wild, Wild West" as the lyrics were real outspoken promoting safe sex and looking towards the future. However the video was shot and in a strange way mirrors were used to show moving body parts like arms and legs playing music instruments! Wow overall great different video that was entertaining as it went along well with the song!

The mouth from the south now has a show!
16 January 2020
Now on "ESPN News" you can tune into the "Will Cain" show if your not listening as this show gives opinions and takes on happenings in the sports world. Even some segments and guest blend into topics like politics and social issues. The show is interesting yet not one of my favorites as this boy is a little biased towards the Dallas Cowboys. Still If your a sports fan give it a watch from time to time.

Radio goes to TV with opinions, thoughts and direct outspoken takes on sports from the main man himself Stephen A!
16 January 2020

Smith gives his insights on everything from "NFL", "NBA", and hot topics that blend the playing field like culture, race, and politics. He always gives the latest breaking news and updates and gives strong direct opinions and takes on the sports world. I respect him the most become of his blunt brash style, so either listen or watch the great Stephen A.

1917 (2019)
8/10
Well shot film with it's focus of message, courage, will, and determination thru grave means.
11 January 2020
Saw many war pictures and each have a different take, and story with each director filming a different way. This War War 1take "1917" from director Sam Mendes is a single camera gazed straight shot that has a focus of travel and journey that being the destination of two British soldiers. The background shows war is hell as along the path you see dead rats and human remains like skeletons caked in the mud all sacrificed from blood and glory. Both soldiers have been dispatched to deliver an urgent message to some other 1600 soldiers that being a trap by the Germans. So maybe the British might rethink about a war attack otherwise.

Thru the journey you see the village of war is a no man's land from booby traps to riverbanks alone. Still the two have hope even though fear and doubt is forever present. The film is moving it really holds as the images stick in your mind along with this journey as the images and travels speak a message of emotions as it's clear this work has it's images to speak louder than words.

Princess Warriors skin slaves fight with savage!
11 January 2020
"The Arena" is one classic cult Blaxploitation film of the 70's that entertains as it's set in ancient Rome and featured Black screen gem Pam Grier. It involves beautiful women who after kidnapped by Roman soldiers must fight to save their lives. The scenes are entertaining and a fun feel good joy as it's jungle caged fever females against males. The eye candy and skin is present with many nude and love scenes that are sweet and nice. Overall nice cult B type flick to check out.

Typical T&A film of action and skin.
11 January 2020
"Cover Girl Models" is one film without much of a plot it's just a vice a feel good story of action and skin with some sexy nude female scenes and sex. Three Young fashion models go to Hong Kong with hopes of shining in a fashion show only to be crashed upon by bad guys. The action is okay still the eye candy of attractive ladies and skin scenes dominate. Overall a cult picture to watch if you enjoyed this kind of stuff from the 70's otherwise it's nothing really great.

Dateline NBC (1992– )

A "NBC" staple that's informative and well done that highlights real life cases.
11 January 2020
Since 1992 the news program "Dateline" has been a peacock mainstay changing over the years with different hosts now Lester Holt does the duties. Each week each episode is in depth with great reporting from top "NBC" anchors as the cases shown are real life, often featuring murders, love triangles, and cold cases that have been cracked with some unsolved mysteries are also showcased. The research done on each story is informative and really in depth as it's like a case timeline supported by news footage, and interviews with family members and officials involved. The stories are often heart touching and filled with emotions as you the viewer will soak up the informative real life drama and fill for all involved. Overall well done investigative news program.

Married... with Children: Bud Hits the Books (1996)
Season 10, Episode 24
9/10
Library pleasure at it's best very funny episode.
7 January 2020
This "MWC" episode from 1996 called "Bud Hits the Books" is one that's very funny and it pushed the limit for network TV as it's theme put it very blunt and in truthful manner as it's about Bud Bundy(David Faustino) pleasuring himself! The story is Bud is studying for college exams and his gal pal Ariel(a typical dumb blond) helps only it's a game of strip study! Only soon Bud decides to get focused and go to the library where it's quite and private only it's a little to intimate and private after the librarian sets Bud up by giving him intimate readings which breaks his focus causing him to pleasure himself! Very funny as his hand becomes the talk of the town even making the news media! Bud is even tried for a crime in front of the university staff, only the hands of justice tilt his way as he receives a diploma in his famous hand! Overall great funny episode one of the best!

2020 Golden Globe Awards (2020 TV Special)
8/10
Phoenix shines, Tom and Ellen are honored and foul mouthed Ricky drops F bombs!
7 January 2020
As always every year before the big meal "The Oscars" I watch the appetizer that being "The Golden Globes", this year's edition the 77th one was okay and funny with blunt and outspoken Gervais as the host once again who was bleeped out many times as his tongue used foul words. Anyway many awards went as expected as most of the TV awards went to the streaming networks, however the mighty "Netflix" was shut out with "Hulu" and "Amazon" products and works being winners. "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" rained king with it winning best musical comedy, and the man Brad Pitt winning best supporting actor award, this gem looks like the "Oscar" front runner for best picture as the "Irishman" was shut out! Joaquin Phoenix rightfully won best actor in a drama for his slick cruel twisted origin take on "The Joker" . And mister nice guy Tom Hanks was honored and he got emotional, plus Ellen was honored the Carol Burnett award as she's a gal that does good kind things for people. A big surprise was war picture "1917" winning best drama. Overall good and tasty a good lead to the always main course "Academy Awards".

Bombshell (2019)

Did you hear Roger say I would like to see you in some sexy colored bras!? Brash, Provocative, bold bio like look at the downfall of power by a revealing sexy me too movement.
5 January 2020
Everyone who follows news and headlines and political stories knows about the tales and supposed happenings at the "FOX News Channel". No matter your political stance or leanings if you've ever watched the channel over the years you've clearly seen that most all of the female news anchors and reporters were hot and very sexy really some eye candy for any viewer. This picture from director Jay Roach in which I describe somewhat drama, dark comedy, bio type is one revealing brash sexy look at an atmosphere and culture of a good old boys club and how their leader the powerful Roger Ailes(John Lithgow) conducted dirty laundry type business with his female employees behind closed doors.

The focus and wild card players here are top news anchors and reporters Megyn Kelly(in a fine and near real look alike performance from Charlize Theron) and Gretchen Carlson(Nicole Kidman) who after years of apparent sexual harassment blow the lead off of his powerful company. As it was exposed the network was a toxic culture for most all of it's female employees. Most catching is seeing Kayla(the sexy Margot Robbie I love her in that sexy black strapless bra scene) a fictional composite character which was inspired by many of Roger's supposed accusers, as Kayla is the poster girl and foot solider employee one who marches along with the network's message of values, faith, morals, and right wing politics only she's soon exposed to the backroom advances of sexual misconduct.

Thru the film it's filled with much drama and fun black heart like humor like scenes of "FOX" News employees in meetings and spotlighted is Kelly's war of words with Trump during his 2016 presidential run. And the scenes of Roger in his office with females is certainly interesting and really a spin for four play and get under the sheets advances. The film is also revealing especially when you see the scene when it swoops in on the chatter and showcased chaos of the ladies' wardrobe room at "Fox News" it's clear that all are news Barbies and sexy colored bra wearing ladies. This was the way that big Rog wanted it as good looks shined and made his network a media ratings darling, as all viewers saw the eye candy of lady anchors and reporters in short skirts.

Aside from that this movie is a wake up call for women as each lead character finally has the courage and voice to speak and fight power and get moral justice as this was just another step that would help power the "Me Too Movement". As it's footage and real news reports takes you the viewer back to these tense and groundbreaking times of scandal and downfall. The chemistry and performances from the cast is all pro and in top notch form from Lithgow, Kidman, Robbie, and Theron as they each feed off each one's emotions and story. The style of the film is sexy, tabloid like he said she said still the big weapon is that all of the ladies use their world of mouth and collected stories from past supposed victims of Roger's to speak and bring truth to power as each had a right to do so as exposure and feeling compensated belonged to each of them.

Fly Me (1973)
8/10
Fun cult B movie of vices of nudity, sex, and kick butt action!
2 January 2020
This film "Fly Me" from 1973 is one that doesn't take things to serious as the plot and story really doesn't have much background still it' a fun B movie of action and much skin with nude scenes. It really is about a trio of flight Stewardesses who leave L.A. and land and end up in Hong Kong to take on a group of crooked and immigrant smuggling Kung Fu kidnap type terrorists. The sex and nude scenes are good eye candy also one of the ladies becomes a damsel in distress with herself being kidnapped and tied up with her mouth taped! In the end feet and hands come to combat as these ladies serve more than flight meals! Overall good B flick that entertains a great example of 70's sexploitation.

Informative and well done doc of a legendary voice!
2 January 2020
"Linda Ronstadt:The Sound of My Voice" is one strong doc that shows and tells the story of a folk rock music legend. From her humble start in Arizona to her travel to L.A for fame and stardom, it was clear that Linda was determined to make it big! Also family and her Mexican background would always blend her music which included country, pop, rock, and love folk ballads. Interviews from family, friends, and other acts are touching. It was clear too that Linda had a gift of a strong voice and she shined as a female in a dominated male field of singers. She was also outspoken for women and human rights, also spotlighted is her relationship with former California governor Jerry Brown. Overall well done doc of a singing legend who touched many of our hearts with her voice!

Little Women (2019)
7/10
A reflection on life a coming of age story also.
2 January 2020
"Little Women" a film that has been done many times is one that entertains with drama and love as it's a sprawling journey of life, love, and choices. The film is a reflection of life thru flashbacks also as it looks at the times of the March sisters. Told mostly thru the eyes and point of view of one young up and comer Jo March(Saoirse Ronan) it shows how her and her sisters lived life with hope, energy, and love. As Jo longed for success to become a writer holding out for respect hoping that her intelligence would be known all while spinning sisterhood. The scenes are filled with many outdoor takes as it seems the characters were always on a journey. And the picture is a showcase for the talents of the March family as it features a writer, painter, actress, and musician. The chemistry of the cast is in top notch form with good work from Laura Dern and Emma Watson. May not be everyone's cup of tea still it's a masterful work of storytelling and art!

A fireball and branded outspoken brash truth telling animal of her own!
28 December 2019
If you followed political life and read articles of news over the years you probably came across the outspoken truth seeking Molly Ivins. And for one she told the people how it was, always telling us that the country is that of the people, plus she exposed corruption in politics. This documentary "Raise Hell: The Life and Times of Molly Ivins" is well done and informative and educational showing about her life and accomplishments on the page. Never pretty she was all brains instead who was a giant six foot Texan who brought trouble for those in power by exposing their wrong doings. Plus she gave great opinions and takes and editorials about the current, and make no bones about it she was a hard living hard drinking liberal with razor sharp wit and humor who always thought the Bill of Rights should be the real bible of the people. The interviews from friends, family, and other reporters were touching, for sure this lady raised hell for the people thru truth and courage. This late lady will be missed by many. This doc took plenty in watch no matter what your politics is.

Uncut Gems (2019)

Not typical Adam a dark twisted turn from Sandler who shines in an intense down the drain picture.
28 December 2019
Most all of us know Adam Sandler for his romantic comedy and very funny movies, however he steps outside his comfort zone with this work in the very dark drama "Uncut Gems". It's the story of Howard Ratner a New York City jeweler who lives life on the edge walking on the very cracked side of society. His passion in life is making money anyway he can, no matter if it's legal or not as long as the cash flows his way.

However many of his sports bets and deals with shady characters have him drowning in a pool of debt and in the red as he lives for the next score to payoff the big boys of the shady slick underworld. On the side he enjoys sex and pleasure from his sexy mistress as his home life with his kids and wife Dinah(Idina Menzel) are on rocky grounds and about to be buried under. Overall very dark intense film showing that when living in discomfort and doubt one will go to desperate measures and means to survive. Still pretty good direct anti hero performance from Adam Sandler.

Bold, brash, outspoken, explicit standup performance from Eddie Murphy!
25 December 2019
"Dolemite Is My Name" is typical foul mouthed and strong stand out stand up take from Eddie Murphy, and true his ways may not be everyone's cup of tea still this latest comedy bio drama type is worth a look. Murphy plays Rudy Ray Moore a go against the grain rap style comedian who after bending over backwards to get his records played at radio stations(mostly black ones) beats the odds even more. When in 1975 a low budget peanut made movie called "Dolemite Is My Name" is a showcase for him as a pimp character that he invented with the persona of him being a karate fighting king of the blaxploitation era. Which this would become pop culture love for ghetto humor and wild nude scenes. This movie is really funny as it pushes with foul talk and blunt nude skin scenes. Certainly a movie with game as it's typical Eddie with brash and bold laughs and funny outspoken stand up .

Nice and fun comedy type drama that's funny with a whole new improved guy!
25 December 2019
"Living with Yourself" is one fun comedy drama type series that's well written as each episode looks at life and the inner and outer workings of one guy named Miles(Paul Rudd). Miles a married man who seems stuck in life with work all of a sudden sees things change when one day after an experimental treatment he's cloned and a new and improved version of himself exist! Really that's plenty to deal with and take in is this what he always wanted? Does he miss the old me? Or does this help or hurt his present state of life? Really what does this character want? Overall good series of life that entertains and keeps interest with good work from Paul Rudd.

Heavy on nostalgia, like a war to end all wars.
25 December 2019
Well what must or more can I say it's a "Star Wars" movie the latest "Episode IX" "The Rise of Skywalker" is an epic spin on many things in the galaxy. Most important it's the fight of the first order that is the main theme. With Rey once again the main hero lead character. The film is also a journey of the Resistance with Rey still in training to use the force. Overall this supposed closure really captures the spirit of the previous films with flashbacks and scenes from past "Jedi" characters. Overall it may not be the best movie in the series still it's impact tries to end an epic saga.

Dull and lame still a classic gem and watch for any "Star Wars" fan!
19 December 2019
"The Star Wars Holiday Special" from 1978 which aired on "CBS" was not seen much and is often spoken about in a bad manner. True after watching the story did not entertain with much action or suspense still if your a fan of "Star Wars" check out this classic somewhat hidden gem(try you tube or Ebay). The story mainly is that of Han Solo and Chewbacca trying to find the way back home for the wookiee to his homeland of Kashyyk to be with his family on Life Day! The sounds and growls of the wookiee clan is okay! Also look for Bea Arthur and Art Carney and the visit to the Cantina with creatures and music is all right. Most revealing is the animated cartoon which gave a preview of Boba Fett. Not much still a cult little hidden gem for sci-fi and "Star Wars" buffs.

Al has become the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons word gets out from Peg that his endurance and stamina has run out in the bedroom! It's like he's the minute man at making love! Never fear this guy is determined to get into shape and surprise Peg in a big time way! Very funny and well written also it was nice to hear The Fabulous Thunderbirds hit tough enough while Al trained before pleasing and becoming a man again to Peg! Classic episode!
