Coming from somebody who was able to avoid every single spoiler for this episode - including the leaked version, promos, previews and everything else - i still can't deny i was really disappointed with how the episode turned out.
i mean, what happened here? it's about Chrysalis coming back for revenge. it should've been awesome! but no. instead, it's pretty damn boring... and sometimes, even pathetic.
the fact that the Mane 7 never found out it was Chrysalis behind all that.... it just makes the episode feel pointless. you'd think the girls would've known something was wrong when they got tangled up with the Evil 6, but no. that never happens. they're completely oblivious to everything around them. i mean, the Evil 6 (well, aside from Evil Twilight, who was the best character in the episode) are pretty much rip-offs of the Discorded 6 from the Season 2 premiere, so if i was there with them, i probably would've been the first one to figure out something wasn't right. so really, when you think about it.... there's no build up to anything here.
also, i felt really bad for Chrissy. she's the best villain the show's ever had, along with Tirek, and to see her become so pathetic in this episode.... it kinda broke my heart a little bit. she doesn't get enough screentime, she barely does anything threatening, and she's not even the main villain of the episode. Evil Twilight is. again, what the hell happened here? did the writer just decided to get piss drunk halfway through writing this script?
i also really didn't like how Starlight was turned into the "stick in the mud" kinda character. she's completely pointless here! she never does anything outside of complaining about how she hates camping. really, writers?! REALLY?! she's been fantastic throughout the first half of this season, and NOW you decided to drop the ball with her?! in an episode when SHE should've been the one to realize something weird was going on?
ugh! what a let down! it might have a great premise, solid comedy, it definitely was great seeing Chrysalis back again and the Mean 6 (especially Evil Twilight) were great, but the lack of focus, mundane story, a plot that's all over the place, jarring pacing, lack of any kinda build up or actual substance, Chrysalis looking pathetic at the end and the Mane 7 being stupidly oblivious make "The Mean 6" one of the most disappointing mid-season finales i've seen in a while. this episode could've been something we would remember for a long time, but instead they decided to drop the ball. not a really good way to start off the 2-month seasonal break!
awful, just awful
can somebody tell me why the hell does this show exist? what was the purpose of this damn show? now, i know it's a show catered to little kids, mostly little girls, but couldn't they just put some god damn effort into making it? Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville is just TERRIBLE, that has two of the most horridly executed seasons i've seen in any show, terrible flash animation with lazy character animation and god awful lip syncing, flat back backgrounds, characters that are so bland, so generic and so utterly stupid, an English dub that's just ear grating with atrocious voice acting and some of the worst pacing i've ever seen in any animated show! please whatever you do, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS HUNK OF GARBAGE! stop wasting your money on Mondo TV's trash, these a@#holes don't deserve ANY of your money!
this movie's everything a sequel should be!
i'm a huge Alpha and Omega fan. i love the movies, i have all 3 of them on DVD and Blu-Ray. i think this is a fantastic franchise that just keeps getting better and better. now okay, i'll admit Alpha and Omega 3 went a little downhill (a little, not by much). that movie - although good - wasn't the sequel we wanted, it had flaws and it didn't really live up to the hype of the first two. now, Alpha and Omega 4 was the movie i was really excited about, cause the trailer was awesome. but i was also a little skeptical and worried if the movie was either gonna be great or a complete let down. cause ya know, usually after the third movie, a franchise starts to go downhill with the fourth movie. i'm really glad to say: Alpha and Omega 4 helped the franchise get back on track. you can already tell i loved this movie. sure, it's still 47 minutes long but whoa! i was so surprised at much i adored this sequel! it does everything right! the characters are back and they're better, the script's solid, it introduced two incredible new characters that i can't wait to see them again in the next one, it didn't shy away from being darker and more mature, it was funny, it was emotional, it was intriguing and intense... it's - like i said - everything a sequel should be. and yeah, the movie wouldn't be complete if it didn't have that awesome show down at the end. i'm telling ya, the climax of this movie is just all sorts of kick ass and awesome. by the time the end credits started rolling, i was sitting there all like "this movie's awesome!" and honestly, for any age group, this movie's gonna appeal to everybody. Hollywood, take note of this and give us more great sequels like Alpha and Omega 4. i loved this movie, it was my favorite movie of 2014, it deserves all the praise it's gotten so far. seriously, if you're a Alpha and Omega fan or a fan of movies in general, go and watch Alpha and Omega 4
How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014)
How To Train Your Dragon 2 = the best animated movie of the year!
oh my god! this summer's just so awesome! so if y'all don't know this, i loved "How To Train Your Dragon", and back in 2010 it was 3rd favorite animated movie (first being "Alpha and Omega" and the second being "Toy Story 3"). i loved the movie. so i went into HTTYD 2 all pumped and excited, but i was also a little worried if it was gonna turn out terrible, like most sequels do. thank god, that never happened. "How To Train Your Dragon 2" is the BEST animated movie of the year so far! first of all, it's absolutely gorgeous! and the best part: it takes the incredible animation of the first movie, makes it even better and takes it to the next level. the flying scenes in this movie are incredibly stunning! like they're flying around and the camera's following them, it was so beautiful and it felt like i was up there with them. and i saw it in 3D, so my mind was literally blown away. and the CGI in this movie's definitely top notch! like there's this shot of a piece of land and a ship. it's a far away shot that looked so great, i was like "It looks like live action. This looks like a live action movie". but aside from the incredible animation, deep down this movie's something even more. it takes the characters we all loved in the first one to the next level, just like a good sequel should do. ya know in the first movie, Hiccup was the boy, the boy who found a dragon. in HTTYD 2, he has to become the man, the chief of Berk. this reminded of "The Lion King" or "The Empire Strikes Back". i walked outta the movie like "This is probably "The Lion King" or "The Empire Strikes Back" of this generation". the action's exciting, the comedy's hilarious and it has fantastic emotions. i actually cried like 3 times in "How To Train Your Dragon 2". this movie's not just for kids, it's also for adults. i mean, adults are gonna love this movie, cause there are themes that really hit them, and kids are gonna love the movie cause it's a fun and exciting action/fantasy movie with incredible animation and awesome dragons. and when they grow up, they'll start to understand the darker themes and emotional aspects the movie was going for, and they'll appreciate it even more. that's what i call a good sequel! another one of the great highlights in the movie, it's the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless. to Hiccup, Toothless's a lot more than just a pet dragon. he's Hiccup's best friend and they really show how complex the emotional bond between a person and an animal can really be. it was perfect in that sense. the only small gripe i got with the movie, it's that Drago could've been a little better as the villain. don't get me wrong, he's still a great new character and the movie does make him better as it goes. it's just that, when he first showed up, i was like "This guy feels kinda weak". that's just a small gripe, it's not enough to bring the movie down. honestly, i can't think of anything bad in "How To Train Your Dragon 2". it's the best animated sequel from DreamWorks we have, since "Kung Fu Panda 2". Dean DeBlois, i really hope you win the Oscar for this movie. you definitely deserve it! you gave us one of the best sequels in a really long time. i'm telling ya, Dean DeBlois knows what he's doing in every movie he makes. he gave us "How To Train Your Dragon 1" which was amazing. now, he gives us "How To Train Your Dragon 2" which is even better. i'm really excited for "How To Train Your Dragon 3", but i don't know how they're gonna top this one. this is the BEST animated movie of the year, and probably one of the best animated movies in a really long time. so, if you haven't seen it yet, go watch it. i swear to you, you're gonna love it.
the WORST animated movie of the year so far!
another Swan Princess CGI garbage?! oh hell no! Richard Rich, why you keeping doing movies in this franchise? why don't you leave it to die already? unfortunately, for people like me, we get tortured again by the newest CGI garbage that goes by the name of "The Swan Princess 5: A Royal Family Tale"... and now, i'm having a really hard time figuring out which one's the worst: "Swan Princess Christmas" or "A Royal Family Tale". anyway, this one takes place sometimes after the last one: Derek and Odette adopt a little girl and all's good, for a little while. then, a bunch of flying squirrels kidnap the little girl, cause they believe in a "corrupted prophecy" that says the swan princess's evil, and for that they kidnap the girl so they can lure Odette to their hideout to kill her. 5 minutes in and we already have a big red flag. so, Derek and Odette go on a trip to save the little girl and Odette, and take down a supposed "evil spirit" called The Forbidden Arts. and this is the second movie in this franchise that almost made me change the channel for about like 20 minutes in. it almost happened in "Swan Princess Christmas" and it almost happened here again. and seriously guys, it's bad! not totally like "Legend of Hercules" bad, but it's up there. from the opening shot of the movie, i was like "god, i really hope this piece-of-s**t CGI gets better". no i was wrong, the CGI was completely terrible. compared to the last one, it was fixed a little. that still don't mean anything, it's still horrible. everything here looks like a cut scene from a PS1 video game, it's really THAT bad. and make it worse is that the movie's just a f***ing mess! i mean, everything here just so damn complicated that you can't tell what's going on. like where the hell did we get the magical changing diamond thing from? it's just randomly there, cause they NEVER mentioned it in the other movies. the whole plot's way too forced and complicated, it's not built and it gave me a serious headache. i was like "Oh, for f**k sake, will this thing stop?" and one of the biggest mistakes this movie makes is that it drowns itself in mythology, along with a lotta exposition. it's like it was trying to "Lord of the Rings" or "The Hobbit". and the characters... oh my god, the characters! this is probably one of the worst casts of characters i've ever seen! everybody in this movie's incredibly dull, stupid, uninteresting, unlikable, annoying and you don't even care what happens to them. hell, even the new characters suck ass. the little girl's completely shoehorned in the movie and she doesn't have depth or a personality whatsoever; the "scullions" are down right irritating and the villain's one of the worst baddies ever! this guy never does anything throughout the entire movie, aside from blowing up the little girl's house. and i'm done talking about it, for the sake of my sanity, i'm done!
final verdict: "Swan Princess 5" is just like "Swan Princess Christmas": ugly, boring, sloppy and just a complete mess. and with a way-too-messy script and terrible, unlikable and uninteresting characters (both old and new) just make the movie a absolute train wreck. so far, this is the WORST animated movie of this year! avoid at all costs!
Delhi Safari (2012)
what can i say about it? meh. it wasn't great but it wasn't atrocious either. it was just... okay. the story's about a group of animals whose home (the jungle) gets destroyed by humans with bulldozers to make way for a some-kinda resort or a hotel. so the animals set on a journey to the big city to ask the humans why are they destroying the jungle. and when i heard of that, i was like "this sounds really generic". and it was generic, but i can't deny that it did have its great moments. and some of the characters were likable and relevant so there's that. but honestly, even though i did enjoy it, "Delhi Safari" still wasn't that good. the story's nothing new, we seen it done over and over again. and it really plays on that by-the-numbers scenario in which it gets annoying. well for most of the time, it does. and even though i did admit there were likable characters, most of them felt just really bland, so you don't really care about them that much. watching "Delhi Safari", i was pretty much like "i seen better characters than these before". like in "Alpha and Omega", where the movie kept me smiling and happy, it doesn't play by-the-numbers, it had better animation, a great message and i loved every character in it. here, it's not the same thing. "Delhi Safari" obviously has weaker animation than "Alpha and Omega" (and "Alpha and Omega" was co-produced in India too, despite being almost entirely American). like the movements seemed rough, the characters designs weren't that great and the backgrounds were a big meh. and it wasn't really funny either. i mean, it had jokes that did made chuckle (there's only 2 jokes in the whole movie that made me laugh), but chuckle alone isn't enough to make your movie funny. so, with that being said: "Delhi Safari" did have good moments in it, it did have some good/relevant characters, the voice acting was good and some of the animation and cinematography looked nice and pretty, but honestly that's not enough. most of the time, the animation was stiff, the other characters were bland and forced, it was pretty predictable, the we've- seen-it-before story plays by-the-numbers which gets annoying and there wasn't much of a climax here, cause once you think it's gonna get better by the end... no, it just ends like that, abruptly. that really kinda ruined the movie. i did enjoy it and i respect the fact that India actually tried to give us something at least enjoyable (they did), but they should've worked on this movie even more.
Larry Kasanoff, if i ever meet you, i'm gonna kick your ass!
there's no words to describe how atrocious "Foodfight!" is. i really gotta ask: what kinda drugs was Larry Kasanoff on when he made this thing? there's no way anybody in production of this movie looked at this and went "Hell yeah! This looks amazing!" oh my god! where to even start? the acting's ridiculously wooden, and that's really sad cause this movie had a great cast. i mean, Charlie Sheen's in this movie... why, Charlie? WHY?! and i could tell while suffering through this that he clearly knew this movie was a piece of s**t and he didn't even try. but still, why the hell was he in this?! same goes for Hilary Duff, Christopher Lloyd and Tim Curry. this movie made me lose faith in all these people, and that's really sad. also, the animation's just F***ING HIDEOUS! this looks like something straight outta a nightmare. i swear to god, the animation in this thing makes the animation in "Swan Princess 4" and "5" look like gold. everything in this movie looks like it was done in one-take, that's how terrible it is. it look awful! the backgrounds are s**t, the colors are awful and the characters look incredibly creepy! and the fact that this movie takes product placements to the extreme makes me cringe. i mean, you got Mr. Clean, Charlie the Tuna, The California Raisins, Vlasic the Shark, Hawaiian Punchy, Mrs. Butterworth etc. Kasanoff, what the f**k were you thinking? you know that this movie was targeted to KIDS, you asshole! this movie has NO respect to kids or adults or anybody! ya know what? i'm done talking about it. F**k "Foodfight", f**k Larry Kasanoff and f**k every human being who worked on this thing!
this is without a doubt 1 of the worst movies in movie history!
Chop Kick Panda (2011)
u gotta be kidding!
okay, i loved the "Kung Fu Panda" movies, they were absolute kick ass and awesome! then, i saw this at a DVD store and i'm like: "What?!" but either way i gave it a chance even though i was dreading it. now i wanna f***ing shoot myself in the face! i mean, the animation's good but this goes from stupid to insultingly nonsensical! the plot's basically a stupid and blatant rip-off of "Kung Fu Panda" that got almost the same f***ing opening (good job for trying to steal ideas from DreamWorks); the script and story are as thin as a god damn piece of paper, the lines are random and weird; the characters are s**t and none of the voice actors turned in a good performance. there were almost 0 damn emotion when it came to the voice acting to this offensive turd. and where's the comedy in this thing? i never laughed while watching this. it's just 39 minutes of absolute boredom and a total pain in the ass! i'd rather stab myself than watch this offensive sack of horses**t again!
2/10 just cause the animation was alright
Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)
Avoid this horrendous thing AT ALL COSTS!
i got no idea who Lucifer Valentine is, but i wanna find him and beat him to death. i mean, who in the hell would make something this absolutely god awful and think it's good? now, i understand that Lucifer Valentine (god, is that even his real name?) wanted to created a new movie genre. but this sack of dog s**t is proof that he sucks as a director and he miserably fails as human being! one of the biggest problems with this is that it's got material than could've been A LOT better if it was like 30 minutes and not 65 minutes. i gotta say there's these long drawn-out scenes where nothing's going on. no character depth, and i got no idea if this horrible thing had any sign of god damn script anywhere. the jump-cuts r everywhere and they irritate the f***ing s**t outta you! and it also keeps hitting the same notes again and again and again, and it gets boring, stupid and - on top of that - hideous. this stupid thing was going for solid shock and then it just spits at the viewer and goes "F**k story!" i'm not gonna go anywhere near to the other movies in the awful trilogy, cause after watching this, i'm not gonna even bother. so "ReGOREgitated Sacrifice" and "Slow Torture Puke Chamber" can go f**k themselves
so the best thing u can do: avoid this god awful trilogy AT ALL COSTS! it's not creepy, it's not shocking. it's just vomit, strippers and death scenes. that's it! f**k this trilogy!
This god awful thing makes "BlinkyTM" look like pure gold!
i swear to god, i feel like i wanna go psycho and go on killing spree. if that day comes, i'm gonna hunt down and brutally kill every stupid motherf***er who worked on this huge sack of absolute DOGS**T!!! there's no way a human being should be allowed to make something this torturous and not be beaten to death by it.
like the title of this review says, "Baby Geniuses 3" makes "BlinkyTM" look like pure gold! and i HATE "BlinkyTM", i hate that thing SO MUCH! now, after watching this crap, all the sudden "BlinkyTM" looks good. i never thought i'd say that. "Baby Geniuses 3" managed to outdo the second movie and it tops "BlinkyTM". No movie ever topped it, but THIS. JUST. DID!!
oh heavenly God, this thing was a absolute torture! everything about this movie's just absolutely criminal:
the acting: terrible! the story: worse than the acting! special effects: worse than the effects in "Baby Geniuses 2" the characters: all of em are HORSES**T! the script: KEEP IT AWAY FROM ME!!
the only positive i can give away is that, compared to "BlinkyTM", in some really small way this thing had a plot. no matter how torturous it was, at least it had some tiny bits of a plot (in "BlinkyTM" there was no plot to be found). but there's no way it can save something this absolutely god awful and horrendous!
like the first and second movie THIS IS A F***ING CRIME AGAINST CINEMA AND HOME ENTERTAINMENT!! avoid it at all costs! in fact, don't EVER watch this god awful trilogy. it's gonna ruin you forever!
La leggenda del Titanic (1999)
okay, so the biggest tragedies of all time gets turn into an animated movie that's so terrible, it's disgustingly offensive. okay.... WHAT THE F**K DID I JUST WATCH?!?! seriously, who the hell would make something this god awful and try to pass it around as a Titanic movie?!?! i wouldn't mind if this thing came from Hollywood (cause we all know Hollywood makes some of the worst pieces of s**t ever), but no, this thing's from Italy! are u serious, Italy?! i really like Italian movies (both live action and animated), but this.... this makes me wanna shoot myself in the face!
the plot's as stupid and retarded as it gets: grandpa mouse tells his nieces and nephews the "REAL" story of how the Titanic sunk and everybody were survived thanks to a giant, talking octopus who has nothing to do with the Titanic. really?! u mean to tell me all the people who died in the Titanic didn't really die in the Titanic? oh my god! i mean, compared to the other one, the animation here's a little bit better, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN S**T!!! good god, this thing was so awful. even kids would be offended by this piece of crap! like i said, it goes from stupid to disgustingly offensive and every single minute of this stupid thing gets even worse! it's stupid, it makes no sense and it needs to burn in hell!
the day might come when i finally go psycho, and i go into a killing rampage. when that day comes, i'm gonna go hunting down every single asshole who made this hunk of crap, cause that's the only punishment they get for destroying one of the biggest disasters in history!
avoid this god awful thing!!!! don't ever watch it, ever!
Riley Rewind (2013)
Ray and Anna, fantastic job! :D
i loved Riley Rewind! it was powerful, emotional, had great special effects and the acting (for the most time) was pretty good. never thought midget Ray would make something this amazing!
the special effects: the effects were awesome! i loved how they showed animated sketches, it had a really great touch to the series. and there's the bomb explosion at the start of Act 1, which was awesome as hell! the bummer is that i didn't get to see it again, which made me sad a little. but overall, awesome.
the sets: Riley Rewind's a low budget independent project so at first i was like "i don't know if i'm gonna like the sets". but i was dead wrong, the sets are fantastic! everything looked so real and well done. props to everybody on that!
the script: this thing has a fantastic story: Anna plays a normal girl named Riley Brown who can time travel (or "rewind") to change her past. i thought that was awesome. it was written by Anna and honestly she did a really good job. i liked the dialogue too, it was really well written. and you end up caring about everybody in this movie, all the characters were amazing.
the acting: for the most part, the acting was way better than i thought it was gonna be. there are those moments in the series where everything gets dark and it makes you tear up (like the scene where Angela commits suicide, i leaked a few tears at that part). granted, sometimes the acting can get a little bit too cheesy and weak, but overall everybody did their job really well (especially Anna and Lamar).
Overall: i loved the show! it had me at the edge of my chair the whole time. i laughed and i ever cried it was so good. Ray and Anna, you're the best! keep on the great work, i gotta see more from you :D
i loved this movie so much!
finally, it's out! after like 3 years of waiting with all these fake rumors floating everywhere, i finally get 2 see the sequel to my all time favorite movie "Alpha and Omega"! i almost lost hope bout it, right till August 1st this year, and oh my god i was SO happy. i mean, it's real! Alpha and Omega 2, the sequel to my all time favorite movie is real. i still can't believe it, and finally i watched it and it was so incredibly amazing. there was no part when i got bored while watching "Alpha and Omega 2", cause i enjoyed it so much.
the animation's almost the same with the one used for the Alpha and Omega 1, but this time, it's more realistic cause the characters are detailed better and they're a lot deeper this time. so really, everybody in this movie, they're all likable. i really dug that in the movie and it worked perfectly. and the voice acting was great too. usually when a sequel ends up with a whole new voice cast, it's gonna disappoint to no-end. not "Alpha and Omega 2"! in "Alpha and Omega 2", the actors who play Kate, Humphrey, Lilly, Garth, Tony and Eve sound the exact with the original actors who played em in the first movie. and that's great voice acting right there! even the new actors who played the new characters in the movie did a great job. so big props to them. my only "gripe" bout the movie it's that it's just 45 minutes long, it's kinda short. that bummed me out a tiny bit, i was expecting it to be like 92 minutes long, but it's only 45 minutes and it actually makes me wonder why.
but either way, "Alpha and Omega 2" was a fantastic direct-to-DVD sequel, with great voice acting, solid premise, great animation, strong character depth, fantastic score... i can't find anything bad in "Alpha and Omega 2", despite the short run time. and for all of you out there who think "Ehhh, Alpha and Omega 1 sucked, so this is gonna b even worse", check that stuff again cause you're wrong. You might say it's bad, but you're not gonna feel it. so go watch it and admit you liked it.
Cause "Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure" is definitely and absolutely... Awesometacular! The best direct-to-DVD sequel i seen in a really long time! i'm so happy i finally got to see it
Oh my god!
where to even start with this thing?! so, "BlinkyTM" is a short "horror" movie by Ruairi Robinson that tells the story of a kid, who's hates his life and adopts a robot. the kid starts slapping the robot around and tells the robot to kill his family and gets what he wanted.
now, what i liked: the premise overall looked interesting. ya know, kid adopts a robot and starts slapping it around, and robot goes in a killing rampage. and it also had good visuals, it wasn't like any indie movie or something. they had good cameras and good quality, and Ruairi's direction was alright.
what i hated: everything else! the dialogue.. oh god! the dialogue in this thing was really bad. every line that comes from either the robot or the kid is either stupid or nonsensical. and the pacing... oh my god, the pacing! this is thing that i hated the most in this movie. There's mountains of time where nothing's happening, it's just a annoying little kid talking to either his parents or his robot friend and the conversation goes nowhere. this makes the movie really disjointed and depressing. all the kid ever thought was just "I want a friend; i feel lonely; i want you to kill my family". this thing either had me laughing to tears or it had me falling asleep. and there was almost no f***ing writing here either. whatever script this thing had was probably written on a cocktail napkin. i don't know if Ruairi Robinson was brain-dead when he made this movie.
so, can i recommend this movie? hell no! there's no way i'm gonna recommend this horrid thing to anybody! 1/10
Niko 2 - lentäjäveljekset (2012)
generally speaking, sequels aren't as good as the originals. but this sequel might be an exception
now, i really did enjoy "Niko and the Way to the Stars", i thought it was really cute, funny and endearing, and Finland really knows how to make lovable animated movies. okay, the story was a little bit predictable cause we've seen it basically over 100 times before. but overall, it was still a really cute movie.
"Niko 2: Little Brother, Big Trouble" is the sequel to the movie and it follows the story of Niko, who knows how to fly now. but he finds out his mom Oona's gonna get married with another reindeer (not Prancer, Niko's real dad). so now, he's gonna have to look after Jonni, his little stepbrother. but problem is, they hate each other like a lot. then, Jonni gets kidnapped by eagles who work for White Wolf, Black Wolf's sister. She wants revenge on Niko for her older brother's death. now, it's up to Niko, Julius, Wilma and Tobias to save Jonni, defeat White Wolf and go back home.
yeah, we all know that sequels usually aren't as good as the originals. usually sequels can really screw up and leave everybody booo-ing. but luckily "Niko 2" isn't one of em! even if the story's familiar, "Niko 2" was even cuter and more endearing than the original. i'm surprised that i liked this one a little more than the original. it had good animation and great comedy. i laughed in this movie more, it had good comedic timing. there wasn't any part in "Niko 2" where i was laughing so hard that i was like crying. that never happened, but still a really funny sequel. and a couple of times in the movie, i was like "i'm tearing up". like i said earlier, it was endearing and it did the job pretty good.
so, u might find the story a little familiar and predictable, but in the end "Niko 2" was a fun sequel with good animation, good comedic timing, lovable characters, and it was cute and endearing. if u have little kids and if you're bored, take your kids to this movie. i promise, you'll have a good time.
Titanic II (2010)
Oh my god!
now, i don't know much about the studio "The Asylum", all i know is that these guys make copy-cat movies based on successful blockbuster movies like "Paranormal Activity", "Jaws", "Cloverfield", "Titanic" ya know those kinda movies. But i don't like copy-cat movies, i think they're really stupid. And now i know the reason why! i just saw this movie called "Titanic II" cause i was bored and just by looking at the title i was like "What the hell? A sequel?! I thought the Titanic got crashed by a iceberg and it sunk deep in the ocean". Then, i found out this movie's NOT actually a sequel to James Cameron's super hit from 1997, "Titanic II" is just the name of the boat. Anyhow, i saw this movie and at the first 4 minutes i was like "Oh god! I hope the rest of this movie isn't this terrible". And i saw the rest of the movie till the very end, and it actually got WORSE! Yeah, *worse*! the execution's bad, the characters are terrible. There's absolutely NO character in this god-awful movie that you actually end up giving a damn about. and for the special effects in this movie... oh god! it felt like somebody took those special effects from the trash, and literally made it bad again.
after reading about the premise of this movie, i was like "What the f***?!" i mean, instead of the ship getting hit by a gigantic-ass iceberg, it gets trapped in a tsunami. right there, i wanted to shoot myself in the face! i mean, a tsunami?! how the f*** can a tsunami get even bigger in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? it doesn't make sense! it's almost like if Shane Van Dyke smoked a lot of weed, licked a lot of "Toads" and dropped a lot of acid. and among him tripping all sorts of balls, he was like "Hey guys, i'm gonna make a rip-off of "Titanic", but i'm gonna make a ship that gets trapped in a tsunami and the tsunami has to get bigger, it's really important". Important my ass, Shane! the guys from The Asylum are no strangers in making terrible copy-cat movies, but none of them surpassed "Titanic 2". this is the #1 biggest piece of s**t ever made from The Asylum! (the Paranormal Entity franchise, it's #2) i felt like a idiot watching this movie, cause i never wasted the worst 90 minutes in my 16 years of life!
so, don't see this.. EVER!!!!
Scary Movie 5 (2013)
Oh my god!
So, "Scary Movie 5".. it's just "Scary Movie 5". Which is funny, cause before it came out, i thought "Scary Movie 5" was kinda like "A Haunted House", and i thought OK, that's "Scary Movie 5". I don't wanna see it, and i don't wanna talk bout it. And sometimes it's fun to talk bout a movie that's terrible. This movie's FREAKING TERRIBLE!!! Alright, so in "Scary Movie 5" they spoof Mama, Paranormal Activity 4, but they don't just spoof horror movies. They also spoof Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Inception, ya these kinda movies. At the start of this movie, we see Charlie Sheen banging Ashley Tisdale, and then they get killed in the beginning, then a text comes up and it's like "Charlie Sheen's body was found in October 27. His body didn't stop partying" or something. Ya, the only funny part in the movie is in text form! What the hell is that supposed to mean?! Like there's a segment where they spoof "Mama": the little kids like "Don't look in the closet!" Ashley goes at the closet, opens the door and we see the maid on the toilet. And she farts, flies of the toilet and hits Ashley Tisdale. Right there, i was like "What was that?" The thing i don't get is: Why's there a toilet in the closet in the kid's bedroom? They put the toilet there so then they can have that moment, that's not funny at all. And they also spoof the "Evil Dead" remake, that came out 1 week before this movie came out. Which is why i believe that the production of "Scary Movie 5" a week before it came out. The execution's sloppy, the script's terrible. It's just filled with stupid jokes that u just don't care about. It's not funny at all. You just look at it and go "Why am i here?" So, just skip this, don't watch it, don't download it, don't rent it for free. 1/10
Paranormal Activity 4 (2012)
The weakest in the franchise, but it's still scary and way better than PA3
OK, so over the past 6 years, the Paranormal Activity franchise been mega popular everywhere. It all started with Micah and Katie who get haunted by this invisible demon, and Katie gets possessed and starts going on a killing spree, by killing Micah, Kristi and Daniel, and she kidnaps little Hunter. And that's where PA4 starts.
Paranormal Activity 4 talks about this teenaged girl Alice, who starts seeing weird things happening around the house, ever since Katie and Hunter (renamed Robbie), moved next door to them. Then, Katie gets sent to the hospital for some reason i don't know and Alice babysits Robbie (real name: Hunter), and right after that, things get even worse.
Now, i really liked this franchise and especially the first movie. Even though it was boring, Paranormal Activity 1 is still the best and the scariest in the franchise. In Paranormal Activity 2, nothing much happened, but it still was a good time to get the chills.
Then, Paranormal Activity 3 came out as prequel to the first 2 movies. I thought this one was okay, but it had annoying jump scares that i really don't like and for me, the story line was pretty predictable and nothing new happens. Now, Paramounts comes back with the 4th latest movie in the franchise. Just like the third movie, Paranormal Activity 4 doesn't offer anything new and the lead chick's acting isn't really good. The trailer also shows this like weird triangle with a circle in the middle in which i thought actually pretty weird. Even though this is clearly the weakest in the franchise, i give it credit, cause it still delivers smart scares, nice editing and it's also way better and scarier than Paranormal Activity 3.
Niko - lentäjän poika (2008)
not bad it's cute
well, i'm not really into Finnish animated movies, but i make an exception for this one. Not because the main character got my name (lol), but cause it's cute, funny and touching. Ya OK, the animation's good but the story somehow seems weak and lacking. However, it did a pretty good job to entertain me cause i really liked it. In this movie, Niko's always practicing to fly like his dad, but the problem is he never met his dad. So, along with Julius, a lazy flying squirrel, he sets out for Santa's Fell to find him. Like i said, the movie's not bad, it's really funny parts in it, especially when Niko drinks a beer and burps. But it also leaves a really good message about how to not give up on your dream, even if u get into trouble. So, i'm gonna give this movie a 8.5 out of 10, cause i think it was really well done even if the story wasn't really strong.
El lince perdido (2008)
cutest (and most hilarious) animated Spanish movie out right now!
i been watching animated movies made in Spain for about 4 years now and i gotta say Spanish people make cute animated movies. But i think "The Missing Lynx" is cuter, funnier and it looks better.
The movie tells the story of Felix, a lazy and unlucky Iberian lynx, who's staying in a animal recovery center in Donana National Park. Then, he learns about Noah (Noe in Spanish), a eccentric millionaire who tries to create a so-called "Noah's Ark" for endangered animals. Along with a group of friends: Gus, a paranoid chameleon; Beeety (Beeea in Spanish), a "dare-devil" like goat; Astarte, a brave female falcon and Rupert, a almost-blind mole, Felix tries to ruin Noah's plans. On the way, Felix falls for a female lynx called Lynxette (Lincesa in Spanish).
Well, i gotta admit, the story seems weak and a little predictable. But overall, "The Missing Lynx" is a great Spanish movie for kids and full of entertainment. I loved all the characters in the movie, especially Gus. He made me laugh so hard with all his paranoid stuff. The movie also leaves a good message for protecting the endangered animals from destruction. Do i recommend this movie? Yep, totally. Cuz it's really gonna entertain both kids and adults of every age. Big shout-out to Raul Garcia, Manuel Sicilia and Antonio Banderas for making this movie. They did a great job.
Alpha and Omega (2010)
the greatest wolf-movie ever!
The first time i heard 'bout "Alpha and Omega" was round 2 years ago, when i came back from a basketball game i had with my friends. I saw a picture of the movie's poster and i went to check out the trailer on the internet. And ya know what? I loved this movie like a lot. It was hilarious and touching, the animation was amazing and the characters were really well done.
"Alpha and Omega" talks the story about two wolves (Kate and Humphrey), who're in the same pack, but on the opposite sides. Kate (Hayden Panettiere) lives her life for hunting and discipline, while Humphrey (Justin Long) lives his life for fun and friends. Humphrey falls in love with Kate but their pack doesn't stand a chance with that. Kate gets forced to marry Garth (Chris Carmack), the son of the eastern wolf pack, Tony (Dennis Hopper), but then, Kate and Humphrey get tranquilized by park rangers to find themselves in morning in Idaho, USA. Thanks to a French-Canadian goose, Marcel (Larry Miller) and a English duck, Paddy (Eric Price) Humphrey and Kate decide to get back to Jasper and stop the war, but first they gotta survive each other.
The movie is directed by Anthony Bell ("The Boondocks", "The Simpsons") and Ben Gluck ("Brother Bear 2") and i gotta say, they did a great job making it. But, i gotta admit, the story isn't really strong. I mean, the arrival back to Jasper is a bit too easy and i mostly liked Garth and Lilly's romance together (even though my favorite characters are Kate and Humphrey). But, to me, "Alpha and Omega" is greatest wolf movie i ever seen. It's hilarious, touching and sweet and the action scenes are really hardcore (even though the jokes weren't really funny). I also heard that Lionsgate is gonna be making a sequel for the movie, called "Alpha and Omega 2" and seriously i couldn't believe that they're really making a second one, so i hope it turns out just as amazing as the first one.
Avatar kicks ass! greatest science fiction movie ever!
Cameron first brought the house down with epic phenomenon, Titanic. I'm a great fan of Cameron's work and he's still keeps it going. This time, he brought the house again with his next epic project, Avatar. "Avatar" talks the story about a paraplegic ex-marine, Jake Sully (Worthington), who after loosing his brother, gets a chance to head for Pandora on a unique mission. But, he needs to choose whether following his orders by Colonel Miles Quaritch (Lang) or protecting the planet he feels is his real home. "Avatar" was beyond amazing and i loved it! It totally leaves behind a message for protecting the environment from destruction. Its 3D was amazing. I mean, i watched the whole movie with my 3D glasses on and it felt like it was real, like i was really in Pandora with the others. Pandora is the total opposite of our world. Everything there is absolutely beautiful from every moment of the entire movie. I was stunned by the Hallelujah Mountains, floating in the sky. And the Avatar bodies and the Na'vi were really well done, especially Jake's avatar and Neytiri. Now, i been hearing around the internet that Cameron's gonna be making 2 sequels for Avatar, and i just wanna say that i can't wait to see the sequels and i hope they come out just as great and amazing as the first Avatar.
The "Kung Fu Panda" movies are all amazing (especially the second movie). And now, here we got the TV series. "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness". The TV series tells the story of Po and the Five against evil. Well, i gotta say the TV series didn't looked as great as the movies. The animation isn't like "super-duper good", it's alright, but i kinda liked the animation they used in the movies better. Although, "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness" ain't that bad of a TV show. The story is kinda lacking with some weird plot holes, but i say it's okay. In fact, i saw an episode of the TV show and i really enjoyed it. It still got the great sense of humor and the awesome fight scenes just like in the movies. I don't know what other people think about it, but i really liked the TV show. If you're a big fan of the "Kung Fu Panda" movies, then you'll might like this one too
Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012)
it's a great movie! i loved it!
The "Ice Age" movies were all fantastic. The animation is great, the voice acting is hilarious and every movie got a great story. But, to me, the best movie in the franchise is "Ice Age 4". I really enjoyed this movie more than the others. The story involves around Manny, Sid and Diego on a new adventure after the Pangaea continent gets set adrift. In order to get back home, they use a small ice berg as their boat, but along the way, Sid gets reunited with his old family and Diego falls in love with a saber-toothed cat named Shira. Like i said, the franchise is great, but the fourth movie makes it even better. The story is even stronger, the animation is better and the voice acting was absolutely good. There are a lot of hilarious moments all through the movie and i really liked the movie's theme song "Chasing the sun" by The Wanted. Although, i gotta admit, it still looks kinda familiar with the other movies, nothing new happens. But i still think "Ice Age 4" is the greatest movie in the franchise.
