Little Women (2019)
Good acting and costumes
I didn't know the story beforehand, so I was rather confused by the non linear story line. I do one the costumes and the acting in the film.
Confusing at first
The plot is quite confusing at first, as it is fast paced and involves a lot of characters in a short amount of time. After I manage to clear the plot up, I can see that it is a good film that delivers on action and suspense.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Quite different from the rest
This film set in Nazi Germany is really quite different from the rest. It approaches the difficult and painful topic in a light hearted manner, while still maintaining respect. The ending leaves many things to the unsaid, which makes it more powerful. I enjoyed it a lot.
Inherit the Viper (2019)
Not so engaging
The story doesn't develop the background of the three siblings much, so I don't really feel for them at all. The story isn't so engaging either. I felt rather bored by it.
Not as gripping as I thought it would be
This film tells the story of a few women who get caught up in a scheme trying to get themselves out of poverty. It is not as gripping ass "Widows", to which this is compared to. There is sisterhood and solidarity, but suspense and engagement isn't there. it is not as good as I thought it would be.
Giant Little Ones (2018)
This film tells an engaging story of two teenage guys. I like Natasha as well, she's really sweet. The ending is quite open ended though, I would have liked more closure.
An enjoyable blockbuster
This spin off is an enjoyable blockbuster. It has a lot of fights, beautiful locations and really cool action scenes. The scene involving a helicopter and several cars is really jaw dropping.
Good story but very irritating
The story is good, particularly the twist in the middle. However, the children were far too annoying in the beginning, and the ending is too irritating. Stopping the train to risk the lives of hundreds isn't acceptable. Slither irritating thing is that the father sits next to the window when he's being shot at, which is pretty stupid.
A bit offensive
I find the gore to excessive, and too in your face. It is more like a slasher film than an action film. The huge emphasis on religious extremists also put me off as well. It would have been a good action film, but I find it offensive.
Cold Brook (2018)
A beautiful reminder of the good side of humanity
The story is a beautiful reminder of the good side of humanity. Two men have a strange encounter, such leads to an transcending act of kindness. I really like it.
Black and Blue (2019)
This film is gripping, as it makes me root for the new policewoman completely. I just hope so much that she'll succeed in delivering justice, such makes me very engaged and captivated by this film.
Ad Astra (2019)
Dull and boring
The story is weak, dull and boring. The pace is so slow that it should be watched at double speed. The ending is not poignant, and frankly unbelievable.
3:10 to Yuma (2007)
I didn't get into the film
I never really got into Westerns because everyone just shoots each other in thinly disguised plot. This film is no different. The ending gets me really confused because it seems like the two are cooperating, but in fact they shouldn't be. I didn't get into the story at all.
The film sounds funny, but it's not funny at all. It's so bad. It's gross, offensive and just not funny. I can't stand it.
The Irishman (2019)
Not my thing
Maybe these films weren't my thing. I don't understand the film because it's long and confusing. There are so many people in the film, and I sometimes can't figure out who is who. The ending drags on, and I wish they just stopped at the point when Peggy won't talk to Frank anymore.
Engaging and thrilling
It is an engaging and thrilling tale of sweet revenge. I like it. Jennifer Garner is believable in her role.
The Two Popes (2019)
It is a very engaging film. I particularly like the scene where the two popes talk in the garden, as it is intense. I am not religious, but it still captivates me.
Boring and bad
It is hard to have a boring action film, but this film manages it. The plot is puzzling for the first hour, and events are very poorly explained. The second half of the film is supposedly adrenaline fuelled, with lots of really gross scenes. But it still manages to be boring. Acting is consistently bad across the board. Have I said that the film seems to last forever as well?
Renée Zellweger's acting is brilliant! She sings beautifully as well. It is amazing how she has transformed over the years, and has transformed herself for this film as well. I love the film.
After Ever After (2019)
Can't believe it's so tasteless
It is a comedy version of Cinderella, but it's not funny. It's very tasteless and has too many gross jokes. I don't like it at all.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea (2019)
It is a very sweet animation of the tiger and the generous host. It is great for children and adults!
The Report (2019)
Thank you for fighting for what's right
It tells an engaging and disturbing story of someone who is willing to go after giants, even though the chances of winning are slim. Thank you for choosing what is right, but not what's easy.
Don't Let Go (2019)
I didn't expect this thriller to involve warped time as well. It is quite thrilling and engaging, both because of the suspense of who the killer is, and because of the warped time.
The Aeronauts (2019)
What about adventure
It is an exciting and satisfying adventure. The two scientists risk their lives to advance knowledge, and the story is very engaging. I liked it.
Lucy in the Sky (2019)
The plot is just boring and doesn't go anywhere. Lucy's life and experiences aren't interesting, and I have no interest in the plot at all. I don't see the point of this film. What a huge waste of Natalie and Jon.
