Cara Delevingne To Host & Executive Produce All-Female Practical Joke Series For Quibi
Cara Delevingne is set to executive produce and host an all-female practical joke series from ITV America’s Sirens Media, for Quibi.

In each episode of the as-yet untitled show, Delevingne and a band of female accomplices will wreak havoc, executing a new stunt or practical joke – ranging from the ridiculous to the extreme – often putting themselves in unwieldy and unpredictable situations in the process.

“I am so excited to be partnering with such a revolutionary streaming service like Quibi and cannot wait to unleash some necessary mischief,” said Delevingne. “As someone who watches so much content on my phone, this feels like such a perfect partnership.”

The series is produced for Quibi by Sirens Media, an ITV America company, with Jessica Sebastian serving as executive producer.

Nia Long To Produce & Star Alongside Omar Epps And Stephen Bishop In Netflix Film ‘Fatal Affair’
Exclusive: Nia Long, known for her roles in movies including Boyz n the Hood, Love Jones, Soul Food and The Best Man, has set her first producing project with Netflix. Long will produce and star in Fatal Affair, with Omar Epps and Stephen Bishop (Moneyball) co-starring.

Peter Sullivan is directing the feature from a script he co-wrote with Rasheeda Garner. The plot follows a woman who tries to mend her marriage after a brief encounter with an old friend, only to find that he is more dangerous and unstable than she’d realized.

Barry Barnholtz, Brian Nolan and Jeffrey Schenck will produce alongside Long. Filming is slated to begin this month in Los Angeles.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance casts Lena Headey, Benedict Wong, Sigourney Weaver and more

Netflix has just cast several big names in its upcoming series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which serves as a prequel to the classic 1982 feature film from The Jim Henson Company.

Joining the series are Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Sigourney Weaver (Ghostbusters), Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians), Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and The Wasp) and Dave Goelz (The Dark Crystal).

Age of Resistance will be directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me), who will also executive produce alongside Lisa Henson, Halle Stanford, Rita Peruggi and Blanca Lista. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance has been written by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (Life in a Year) and Javier Grillo-Marxuach (The 100).

Jaden Smith to Play Young Kanye West in Showtime Anthology Series ‘Omniverse’
Kanye West and Jaden Smith are teaming up for a Showtime series.

Smith it attached to the star in the series, titled “Omniverse,” while West will executive produce. Showtime has ordered a script for the series.

“Omniverse” is a limited half-hour anthology series examining the many doors of perception. Season 1 will explore the Ego through an alternate reality Kanye West, whose younger self will be played by Smith.

Scooter Braun is also set to executive produce, along with James Shin and Scott Manson on behalf of Sb Projects, Braun’s media company. Miguel Melendez and Smith will executive produce on behalf of Westbrook Studios.

Lee Sung Jin is attached as writer and executive producer. He is currently a co-executive producer on Amazon’s “Undone.” His credits include “Tuca & Bertie” and “Silicon Valley.” Lee’s pilot, “Singularity,” was directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Undateable alum Chris D’Elia is set for a recurring role on the upcoming second season of Netflix’s You.

D’Elia will play Henderson, a designer-hoodie, black Ray-Bans, expensive sneakers-wearing famous comedian with a “hard-life-lessons man-of-the-people” thing working for him.

You follows bookstore manager Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley). In the freshman season, which was based on Caroline Kepnes’ bestselling novel and aired on Lifetime, Goldberg becomes obsessed with his customer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), using social media and the Internet to stalk her.

The show’s second season is loosely based on the author’s second book in the series titled Hidden Bodies and will be released by the streaming service under the Netflix originals banner. It will follow Goldberg to Los Angeles where he meets Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), an aspiring chef that isn’t into social media like his previous leading lady.

Former Jackie Brown star Pam Grier, Jt Neal (Roommates) and up-and-comer Christina Offley (Atypical) round out the series regular cast of the Fox single-camera comedy pilot Bless This Mess, starring, co-written and directed by Lake Bell. Grier, Neal and Offley join previously cast Dax Shepard and Ed Begley Jr. in the project, co-written/executive produced by Bell and New Girl creator Liz Meriwether.

Bless This Mess centers on a newlywed couple — Rio (Bell) and Mike (Shepard) — who give up their drab and unfulfilling lives in NYC and moves to Nebraska to live a simpler life. It doesn’t work out like they planned.

Grier will play Sheriff/town store owner Constance Terry, whose charisma and maternal nature makes her the hub of the town’s social scene/woes/information/gossip.

A host of celebrities from the big and small screen took to the Shrine Auditorium in the City of Angels to celebrate the best in moving picture entertainment – with the red carpet being evacuated as the weather turned sodden.

The model turned actress has shaved off her hair for her latest film role Life In A Year, in which she plays a woman with terminal cancer.

While she painted her head silver for the Met gala, Cara didn’t cover up her bare head as she walked the shimmering black carpet at the MTV bash.
