Trivia

Jump to: Spoilers (6)
The title "A Fox, a Rabbit, and a Cabbage" is an old riddle which FBI Agent Pepper (Keegan-Michael Key) asks FBI Agent Budge (Jordan Peele) in the FBI file room. The answer to the puzzle is that, the man first takes the rabbit with him as fox won't eat the cabbage, then come back and take cabbage with him and bring back rabbit from other end and keep the rabbit and take fox to the other end, hence fox and cabbage are safely on other end and finally later come back and take rabbit with him, hence safely taking all three to the other end.

Title: The episode title refers to one of a number of river crossing or logistical puzzles, where the object is to move a set of items across a river subject to various restrictions. Puzzle logic is always that there are three objects, A, B, and C, such that neither A and B nor B and C can be left together. These kinds of puzzles date back to medieval times and are part of fork literature in various parts of the world.
