Storyline

Nick has sustained a groin injury, which means he has to lay off sex. It's during this time that Robin, who now has to talk to him while spending time with him, realizes that he's not the brightest light in the world, and perhaps she should break up with him. Her friends are on opposite sides of whether she should do so. Barney feels she should since they are obviously not compatible. Marshall and Lily on the other hand think she should ride out the non-sex stretch and things will be back to normal between the two of them when Nick is physically well again. Lily's belief is based on her need to live through Robin vicariously. Marshall's is because Nick is the star player in his after work basketball team, and believes he will quit the team if Robin breaks up with him. One side goes to an extreme to make sure Robin does what he wants. Meanwhile, non-athletic Ted has too formed his own ream in the same basketball league, although Ted's team of architects focuses their energies on ... Written by Huggo

Joel: Listen coach, you're great.
Giles: And we all really want to stay friends.

Neil Patrick Harris Does It Again
12 February 2015 | by slightlymad22See all my reviews

Neil Patrick Harris knocks it out if the park once again as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. He is so good he even makes up for the ridiculously stupid Nick. I hate it when TV shows dumb people down for easy laughs. (see Adam in "Rules Of Engagement")

Plot In A Paragraph: When Robin is hesitant to break up with Nick, Barney takes matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Lily and Marshall are desperate for some private time.

We now know Barney and Robin get married, it's not to Nora, (the delightful Nazanin Bondiadi) as I'd hoped, or even Quinn (who despite getting Barney to fall in love with her, let her move in with him and propose to her) was in and out of the show in a few episodes. But Robin who he romances in an earlier season, and one or the other had been pining for the other at some point since.

I would award this a 7, but it's getting a bonus point for the scene with Barney in Splitsville
