Eric Andre’s ‘Rapper Warrior Ninja’ Set For Battle At Quibi

  • Deadline
Eric Andre’s ‘Rapper Warrior Ninja’ Set For Battle At Quibi
The offbeat and unstable comedy from actor and stand-up Eric Andre’s Adult Swim talk show is coming to Quibi via Rapper Warrior Ninja.

Hosted by Andre, the new series is dubbed as “the biggest rap battle to ever hit the hip hop world”. As the title suggests the series is a hybrid of a rap battle and American Ninja Warrior — with Andre flair. The competition will feature some of today’s top hip hop artists freestyling while traversing a treacherous gauntlet of tortuous obstacles in the Rapper Warrior Ninja arena.

The series came from a segment of The Eric Andre Show which is currently in production on its fifth season. The talk show, which features co-host and fellow comedian-actor Hannibal Buress subverts the traditional talk show format with over the top and unpredictable bits that are made for us to feel enjoyably uncomfortable — and make us laugh, of course.

Bad Trip Trailer: Nsfw Pranks from the Guys Behind Jackass & Bad Grandpa

Bad Trip Trailer: Nsfw Pranks from the Guys Behind Jackass & Bad Grandpa
A brand new trailer for Bad Trip has arrived to deliver the prank movie goods. Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass gang set the standard for prank movies in the 2000s, but they've been away for a long time now. It's time for someone else to step in and take up the mantle.

Based on this trailer, Eric Andr&#233, Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish could very well be those people. Despite the fact that these are all known actors, they're able to pull some stunning pranks over on people, all while trying to weave together an actual narrative at the same time. It looks impressive and, most importantly, hilarious.

The trailer kicks off with a warning that sets up what it is we're about to see. It explains that actual actors are performing the pranks we're seeing on screen on unsuspecting, actual people who have no idea what's about to happen to them.

‘Bad Trip’ Trailer: Eric Andre’s Nsfw Prank Movie Is ‘Jackass’ With Tiffany Haddish
From the mixed up minds that brought you “The Eric Andre Show” and “Jackass” comes an Nsfw road trip buddy comedy with real-life — and high stakes — pranks. The newly released Red Band trailer for Eric Andre’s latest wild creation opens with an ominous voiceover: “Warning: The following pranks are performed by professional actors on real people who are in for the surprise of their lifetime. Enjoy your trip.” Viewers may be in for the surprise of a lifetime as well when this zany genre mash-up hits theaters in the fall.

While “Bad Trip” doesn’t need much of a plot, the trailer sets up two best friends, played by Eric Andre (“The Eric Andre Show”) and Lil Rel Howery (“Get Out”), who embark on a last-minute road trip. Billed as a “hidden camera comedy,” they steal Andre’s sister’s car (Tiffany Haddish) while she is in jail, though she quickly breaks out tunnel-style,

Everything We Know about The Eric Andre Show Season 5 So Far

According to Padraig Cotter of ScreenRant the Eric Andre Show is still making its way towards a season 5, but it’s taking its sweet time about it. For some this show has been little more than a chaotic jumble of laughs that come from a dark, gritty sense of humor that a lot of people might not get but many more do and have found to be hilarious. It’s all a matter of perception when it comes to comedy after all and while some might find Eric Andre as kind of an oddball character others tend to revere and adore

‘The Twilight Zone’: A Viewer’s Guide to Jordan Peele’s CBS All Access Reboot, Episode by Episode
The signpost ahead reads “The Twilight Zone,” ushering viewers to a realm that at once feels familiar and yet is almost entirely new. Executive producers Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg have reimagined Rod Serling’s classic horror/science-fiction/fantasy series from the ‘60s for a whole new generation.

At an event in Hollywood this year, Kinberg revealed why it was the perfect time to bring back the show. “I think the world all of a sudden was in desperate need of ‘The Twilight Zone,’” he said. ‘If you said three, four years ago that like a reality star who had no political experience will be the leader of the free world with access to the nuclear button, you think that’s a crazy ‘Twilight Zone’ episode.”

Kinberg also said that the vision Peele and CBS All Access had meshed with how to tell stories while pushing it to the limits.

The Eric Andre Show: Behind Kraft Punk and Krft Punk's Political Party With Dan Curry

Daniel Kurland Mar 8, 2019

We answer every question you could ever have about Eric Andre Show's strangest character and his new political special.

The Eric Andre Show has often been described as a nightmare version of a talk show. To call the show unconventional or alternative is a massive understatement. The Adult Swim series is a massively surreal deconstruction of the talk show and for years it's been surprising its audience in new ways. Arguably the weirdest character from the exceptionally weird Eric Andre Show is the cheese-centric Kraft Punk, a bizarre, loathed mystery man who can never die.

In a particularly surprising move, Adult Swim announced that Kraft Punk would be getting his own half hour political special wherein his strange style mingles with Washington D.C.'s finest. The results are some of the weirdest and most interesting material to come out of The Eric Andre Show.

Ron Funches Reflects on ‘Do No Harm’ Comedy Creed in ‘Giggle Fit’ Standup Special

“I feel like I’m a chef, and here’s me delivering a full course meal of exactly what I’m about,” the comedian, writer and actor says of his of first hour-long stand up special “Giggle Fit,” which premieres Jan. 4 on Comedy Central.

Know for his positive spin on comedy in past projects such as his 2015 album “The Funches of Us” and a half-hour Comedy Central special in 2014, Funches makes a point not to use complaining as a crutch in his sets, preferring instead to tell jokes about the things he loves.

“I do think about how someone would feel about it when they heard it,” he says of writing his jokes. “One of the biggest creeds in comedy is to do no harm.”
