Trivia

The first 59 episodes were recorded in 2007 to 2008 and posted onto Brad Jones's YouTube account. When the videos were removed for legal reasons in 2009, Jones started his own website, thecinemasnob.com, with help from Jillian Zurawski and Jerrid Foiles, which became the home of all of his shows, such as this one, The Big Box (2009), Brad Tries... (2010), and Kung Tai Ted (2009), among others. See more »

I'm starting to enjoy this.
31 July 2013 | by WakenPayneSee all my reviews

I didn't get into the Cinema Snob until recently. At first I didn't really get his jokes and the fact he reviews lesser known movies didn't really help. I then saw a review of his for one of my votes for "among the worst movies of all time" (Night Of Horror). After that I started to enjoy what he does and after looking at a few more of his reviews I decided that he is definitely worth reviewing on IMDb.

The plot of this show is to take a basic cinema snob and getting him to review (or make fun of) movies in the range of B-Movies to the kind of stuff Mystery Science Theater 3000 would do.

It does make way for a good watch, if you have seen some really awful movies (like the worst of the movies he reviews - the kind that fail on most levels, in scripting or otherwise) then you will like this show, however if you haven't seen the kinds of movies he reviews then there isn't that much entertainment value to it.

So is it worth a look or even a glance? In my eyes it certainly is, but because he isn't as funny as other online critics my suggestion would be to watch a movie you've actually seen to start it off. If you've heard about these movies (like Christian propaganda saying "all rock music is evil" or Friday The 13th clones) then that MIGHT (I put emphasis on the word "might") get you into the show. It is worth a look, but that's around about it.
