During the scene in Washington, D.C. when Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson visit the OPS, Hermes gives them a thermos from the television show "Hercules Busts Heads." When Tyson remarks that is was a fantastic show, Hermes replies that it was the best show, which is why it was cancelled after one season. This references Firefly, the T.V. show in which Nathan Fillon (Hermes) starred in that was cancelled after one season.

This is a reference to Castle in which characters Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion ) and Kate Beckett are often finishing each other's sentences when working together. Many other regular characters and guest characters in the show have commented about them finishing each other's sentences throughout the show's run.
