Storyline

With Debra recovering in the hospital, Dexter re-doubles his efforts to locate the Trinity Killer. Knowing that he is following the same pattern as his murders from 30 years ago, Dexter is sure he knows where he will strike next. Afterward, he follows the serial killer to his home and is shocked by what he finds. Dexter also has some explaining to do when Rita finds out that he never gave up his apartment and still keeps some of his possessions there. Sgt. Batista plants a news item about the suspected Vacation Murderer that bears fruit. Having told her superiors of her relationship with Batista, the Deputy Chief delivers some bad news to Laguerta. When Dexter listens back to Lundy's last Trinity tape, Lundy says, "190 to 200 pounds. Grey hair, blue eyes." However, in the previous episode, while Lundy was recording the tape, he actually said, "200, 220 pounds. Grey hair, blue eyes." See more »

Officer Hanson: Hey you! Back behind the line.
Dexter Morgan: No, I was called here. I'm Dexter Morgan, that might be my sister.
Officer Hanson: Yeah, I understand sir, but right now I need you to step back and let our people do their job.
Dexter Morgan: No, no, I'm with Miami Metro, forensics, my... laminate and my wallet are in the car.
Officer Hanson: Then get your licence and ID, I need you to step back.
Dexter Morgan: [angrily] And I need you to fucking listen, my sister was shot, no one can tell me what her condition is and that's a dead body!

Get rid of Rita
24 September 2010 | by mg501See all my reviews

I keep hoping that Dexter will find that Rita is an evil serial killer (as opposed to a less evil serial killer like Dexter) so he can "slice and dice" her. She is manipulative, selfish, self centered, unbelievably self-righteous, and completely controlling. I fast forward through most scenes with her because she is so irritating.

Are the writers really trying to portray the character as a good mother and devoted wife? If that is their intention then they can only be pandering to control-freak women who are obsessed with infecting every last detail of their husband's (or boyfriend's) life and thoughts.

Dexter's need to have Rita in his life is really creepy and nauseating.
