Several years ago, Michael Caine suggested that rather than remaking hit movies, the studios rewrite and produce remakes of bad movies to make them better. In the last 6 months Ann Hathaway has appeared in two of the biggest flops (Oceans 8 and The Hustle) of the year. Maybe it's time to stop acting in remakes and start doing originals.
