Storyline

When Henry's artist friend Maya comes under suspicion for the murder of an art gallery owner, he asks Vicki to help him find the real killer. The dead man drowned - though it's not water they find in his lungs but paint. Vicki enlists Coreen's help and they go to a new exhibit at the gallery. Coreen is particularly keen on going, all the more so after she meets Tyrone King, whose work she really admires. Maya has her detractors however and Mike Celluci thinks she might be guilty, which annoys Henry to no end. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Speaking of symbols as signatures, Henry refers to "that singer, or did he go back to his real name". This episode was made in 2007; from 1993 to 2000 Prince insisted on being identified by an unpronouncible symbol, which prompted folks to call him " the artist formerly known as Prince". See more »

Quotes

Vicki Nelson: You found paint in his lungs?
Dr. Rajani Mohadevan: Um hum. Oil paint. His lungs are filled with it. It must have been quite unpleasant.
Vicki Nelson: How did it get there? Did they put a tube down his throat?
Dr. Rajani Mohadevan: Well, there'd be bruising around the tracheal pallet.
Vicki Nelson: Did they make him swallow it?
Dr. Rajani Mohadevan: No sign of paint on the teeth, gums, mandible, maxillary eustachian tube. The way the paint'd be there is that it appears to have come from within.
Vicki Nelson: How does that even happen?
Dr. Rajani Mohadevan: I don't know. It's impossible. Isn't it grand?
