Storyline

"Judy" tells the story of three siblings and their struggle with an abusive stepfather who has a relentless stranglehold on their happiness and normal upbringing. Told from the eldest child's point of view, Judy, the film shows us a typical afternoon for a twelve-year-old girl, along with her brother Franklin and their younger sister, Emma. The audience is then invited to see into Judy's psyche as she buries her trauma and abuse within, and attempts to separate from the horrible reality that awaits her every afternoon. Based on producer Darla Jackson's true story, "Judy" spares no one and asks us all to take responsibility for one of the world's dirtiest secrets. Written by Darla Jackson & Ryan Jackson
