Burglar Sammy Layden is a professional. He is talented with what he does and when he gets caught, he knows that is just part of the game. He does not complain that he might have to do time.

Something in his latest job has got him spooked though. Layden thinks he might be followed and something he sees makes him reluctant to talk to local police, Sergeant Garbett.

When Layden is found dead Cowley thinks a middle eastern group is somehow involved and that they are buying or smuggling weapons and/or drugs.

Bodie and Doyle are tasked to find out which houses Layden might have burgled and this means going to see his handler. She is Margery Harper and she takes a shine to Doyle but dislikes Bodie.

Even back in 1979 there were references to Arabs buying up London. There is a lot of heavy weaponry on display here and Bodie and Doyle nearly get blown up at one point.

The highlight is the comedy between Margery and Doyle. It really tilts what is an ordinary episode. Liz Fraser is a real cougar here. Also a nice performance from Michael Elphick as Garbett.
