Storyline

First pilot Daniel Bergerac was scheduled to command and operate the space vessel Frontier One, owned by the private Eurospace consortium, as it made its premiere voyage into space. Bergerac has now, however, mysteriously disappeared and intelligence believe that his vanishing has been a result of foul play. The space vessel Frontier One was designed to clear cosmic debris by laser and to assist in the building of an important space lab. In the wrong hands, it could become a deadly weapon for terrorists. Jim Phelps and his team of agents are assigned to the mission to infiltrate the Eurospace consortium at their base in Australia, discover what really happened to pilot Daniel Bergerac, and to make sure that the Frontier One will not be used for any evil purposes. Shannon Becomes Becomes A NASA Pilot
5 January 2020 | by Desertman84See all my reviews

In this episode entitled "Target Earth",we get to see another mission by the IMF team wherein a member - Shannon Reed - tries to impersonate a NASA pilot.

Interestingly,we get to see an IMF having a mission in the outer space wherein they try to recover a space craft that was taken over by a terrorist group in order to avoid a retaliatory attack by the US.

Well, the episode definitely requires to viewer a huge amount of suspension of disbelief as we get to see how an IMF member acts as a believable NASA pilot despite having no training in space at all.

It was obvious that the current Mission Impossible film franchise took precedence from it considering that the Tom Cruise character - Ethan Hunt -acts like a superhero by running faster than cars and jumping two-story buildings without any pain at all. If viewers and critics are impressed with it,it is only fair that this episode requires a high rating as well.Besides,Shannon is still human and far from a superhero.
