Trivia

Gene Hunt bets Sam Tyler "a tenner" (10 British pounds sterling) that he can solve a murder first. In 1973, 10 British pounds had the purchasing power of $72.80 in 2006, when the series first aired, so it's a quite substantial wager. See more »

Hunt and Tyler hit the streets
13 July 2017 | by studioATSee all my reviews

This is another good episode of this top notch show that brings the essence of 'The Sweeney' back to life on TV.

It just works, it's not hard to see why. The chemistry between Glenister and Simm is fantastic, there's great humour and music, and actually it's 'who done it?' nature works well too.

The time travel aspect has been reduced in importance slightly, as we can't have every episode be about Sam hating 70's life, but it strikes the right balance of both worlds.

Another good episode.
