A really sleazy victim
2 March 2015 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

An Amerasian prostitute is found beaten and strangled to death and it turns out this woman was the last word in sleaze. I'm sure any number of people would like to have killed her as it turns out. Her father is grief stricken, but not all that much.

Among other things the deceased was into slavery for prostitution and had some recent Chinese imports living in a storage trailer with buckets for bodily waste disposal. Even the normally unflappable Jerry Orbach loses his cool with that discovery.

The woman also had tapes of her sessions presumably for sale at the right price and had several cops on the pad from the local precinct with those tapes as incriminating evidence.

She wouldn't miss computer sex either and in the end she's got a kid played by Ryan Patrick Bachand putting his family into deep ocean debt because he gets obsessed with her cyber images. We're never sure whether his decent working class father takes the rap for his son, but the jury is all in sympathy with V. Craig Heidenrech as the father.

One of those really tragic cases from the Law And Order series. The franchise has done stories with family members taking the rap for errant kids before, this is a good one of that kind.
