not as strong as others

Let me mention that I did enjoy this segment of Fantasy Island, and even though both stories were decent enough, the endings were rather pedestrian. There were some notable faces such as the late Dack Rambo(sadly passed away from AIDS), Lisa Hartman, who's being chased by Rambo's character, Peter(he looks like her older brother), Ed Begley Jr., and the entertaining Harry Guardino. Rambo is actually a wealthy prince, but his fantasy is to be a working man(why?), and he lands a job on a fishing boat, and his friendship with Jamie(Begley Jr.)was actually quite nice, as Jamie tried to teach Peter the ropes. I don't think I can say the same for the relationship between Peter and Chris(Hartman), which seemed forced, and she is much younger than him; after splitting up after dinner because of differences, they leave the island as a couple. She looks very young here, and I had trouble seeing them have a serious relationship, and he threw so many tired and old lines at her, I'm surprised she fell for them.

Regarding the other segment, Guardino(Burke)is in fine form as a detective looking for the murder of his partner, and his fantasy is to go to the old west and bring law and order, as Mr. Roarke informs him that is the most requested fantasy. It boils down to him looking for the Larson brothers, whom he thinks killed his partner, and now they're in his "new" town; he portrays a Marshal willing to protect folks living without any law. The bottom line is that he ends up arresting them, but they were innocent of his partner's murder, and with the help of Julie(Sheree North), he sees the light, and they leave the island together.

Overall, I thought the latter story had a bit more bite to it, although I enjoyed most of the performances, and there's a funny scene with Tattoo disco dancing that I forget to mention earlier.
