Hulu in March: Here’s Everything Coming and Going
Hulu is out with its list of everything new coming and going in March, and the new additions include the three-episode series premiere of “Little Fires Everywhere” starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon, and the premiere of the Hillary Clinton documentary “Hillary.”

Those two shows premiere March 18 and March 6, respectively. Other highlights include “Into the Dark: Crawlers,” about body-switching aliens and also out on March 6; the complete second season of “Love Island: Australia” coming March 13, and the two-episode series premiere of “Devs” starring Nick Offerman on March 6.

Movies leaving the site on March 31 include “When Harry Met Sally…,” “Precious” and “Big Fish.”

George Clooney Wraps Production on Netflix Movie Now Titled ‘The Midnight Sky’
George Clooney has wrapped filming on a Netflix adaptation of the novel “Good Morning, Midnight” for Netflix, as confirmed by the streamer in a recent tweet. The movie is now titled “The Midnight Sky.” Because, no, it’s not that “Good Morning, Midnight,” a novel penned by Jean Rhys in the 1930s about an alcoholic forced by her enabling bestie to spend her dying days drying out in a Paris hostel. This is a science-fiction story, lifted from Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2017 novel centered on Augustine (George Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.

David Oyelowo, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir, and Tiffany Boone co-star. Per Netflix, the film is set to be released later in 2020. The screenplay comes from “The Revenant” co-writer Mark L. Smith.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reuniting on-screen in “The Last Duel,” which is based on Eric Jager’s book “The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal and Trial by Combat in Medieval France.” Ridley Scott will direct.

Damon and Affleck are writing the script with “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” screenwriter Nicole Holofcener, for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

Scott Free Productions and Damon and Affleck’s Pearl Street production company are producing.

George Clooney has taken on the task to star and direct in Netflix adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s novel ‘Good Morning, Midnight’.

The post-apocalyptic tale follows the parallel stories of Augustine (Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, and an astronaut on board the Aether spacecraft, which is trying to return home to Earth, as Augustine races to make contact with the spaceship.

Clooney will also produce alongside Grant Heslov while Mark L. Smith will adapt the screenplay from the sci-fi thriller.

“Grant and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved with this incredible project,” said Clooney. “Mark is a writer we’ve long admired and his script is haunting. We’re thrilled to be working with our friends at Netflix as well.”

Netflix has just courted another A-list filmmaker for a new marquee project. George Clooney is set to both direct and star in an adaptation of Good Morning, Midnight, the acclaimed novel by author Lily Brooks-Dalton. This marks the first feature that Clooney has signed on to direct since 2017's Suburbicon. While the streaming service hasn't yet revealed a release date, it's noted that the project is already in pre-production. Filming is expected to begin in October.

According to a press release from Netflix, Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) adapted the screenplay. Oscar-winner Grant Heslov of Smokehouse Pictures is set to produce alongside George Clooney, with Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment also on board the project. Clooney, coming fresh off his Catch-22 miniseries for Hulu, had this to say about his latest gig in a statement.

George Clooney has found his next feature film to both direct and star in. Clooney is currently in pre-production on an untitled film based on the sci-fi novel “Good Morning, Midnight” for Netflix, the streamer announced Monday.

This is Clooney’s first film acting role since 2016 starring in “Money Monster” and his first directorial project since 2017’s “Suburbicon.” Clooney will also produce with Grant Heslov for Smokehouse Pictures and will do so alongside Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment, which originally sourced the novel.

Production is set to begin on the film in October. Mark L. Smith wrote the screenplay adapting the novel “Good Morning, Midnight.”

MGM has inked a first-look deal with George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures, the studio’s motion picture group president Jonathan Glickman announced on Tuesday.

The deal will span two years, and the first film under the deal will center on motoring engineer and designer John DeLorean.

“We are thrilled to bring George, Grant and their spectacular team into the MGM family,” Glickman said in a statement. “Smokehouse has an undeniable pedigree, representing the high quality and entertaining slate of talent we look to work with as we expand the MGM slate.”

MGM has signed a two-year, first-look deal with George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures.

Jonathan Glickman, president of MGM’s Motion Picture Group, announced the deal on Tuesday.

The first film under the new deal will center on motoring engineer and designer John DeLorean, with Clooney set to direct the movie with the possibility of playing DeLorean. The pic will be written by Keith Bunin, based on veteran journalist Alex PappademasEpic magazine article “Saint John.”

“We are thrilled to bring George, Grant, and their spectacular team into the MGM family,” Glickman said. “Smokehouse has an undeniable pedigree, representing the high quality and entertaining slate of talent we look to work with as we expand the MGM slate.”
