I attended the pilot for "Once Around the Park" as an audience member. The one character that dominated the show was Rose Wingfield, played by Allison Scagliotti.
The show credits should read: Staring Allison Scagliotti, and co-starring Heather Locklear, Hart Bochner, and Sean Marquette. - This was her show.
I suspect that the chemistry between Allison as the over controlling daughter, and Heather as the un-secure strait role mother could turn into a comedy like a Disney version of "Married with Children" but in this case, the children are the stars.
As Ms. Locklear made the statement during one scene to the audience. "You are not laughing enough." - It was not the audience, it was a lack of character development that made the characters weak, with lines that one could almost want to improve and re-write when spoken, except for Ms. Scagliotti's performance. - she stole the show.
