Very, very funny.

I recently saw this on this years MTV Movie Awards and I about busted a gut laughing. You would have to have seen PANIC ROOM before you watch this to understand how truely great this is. I would recommend anyone to try and find this and watch it.

Yay for Will!!

If you were as depressed as I was to hear that Will was leaving SNL, don't worry. Funny boy didn't go far. And he took Jack Black with him. This show is hyper, spastic and just flat-out brilliant. I had hiccups for seven hours after watching it. That's never happened to me before. Weird.

Short But Sweet
The_Vertigo_Edge17 September 2002
This short film (five minutes) was shown during the 2002 Mtv Movie Awards as a link between award presentations. Using both footage from the real "Panic Room" and placing Will Ferrell and Jack Black in the place of the robbers, it should not be considered just another way to make the Mtv Movie Awards a bit longer, but quite an entertaining spin on the great David Fincher work. If you did not get a chance to see it, look for Mtv to rerun the award show (usually shown a few times between now and the next one).

Mildly funny parody of a masterpiece

Warning: Spoilers
I've watched David Fincher's Panic Room not too long ago for the very first time. And I was blown away by what a tense thriller it is, so it turned comfortably into my favorite movie by the director.

This little spoof from the MTV Movie Awards was mainly nice for watching certain scenes from Panic Room again and they really picked the most significant ones. Jodie is supposed to present an award, but she's got stage fright and doesn't show up. So Black and Ferrell go to her house to get her. But too late, she's locked safely in her panic room and there seems no way to get her out. I didn't find destroying the movie plates particularly funny and same goes for the singing, so Ferrell kinda got what he deserved for stinking into the air shaft.

If you're a fan of either Ferrell or Black or the movie like myself, you should give this one a chance. Otherwise, you're not missing much. On an interesting side-note, Kristen Stewart, a supporting player in Panic Room and this parody, kept winning huge at the MTV Movie Awards a couple years after 2002 for her role as Bella Swan in Twilight.
