Storyline

The 100-something vicar of the small English village of Dibley has passed on. A new vicar has been requested for a replacement. What they get is Geraldine Granger, a non-traditional, chocolate loving, rock n' roll playing vicar. That is not what gets the citizens of Dibley in a uproar though. It's because she is a woman. Still, that doesn't stop Geraldine from proving her worthiness to the village. After time, the villagers (with the exception of influential David Horton) accept Geraldine as The Vicar of Dibley. User Reviews

Funny, lighthearted and uplifting
24 March 2001 | by joshualiederSee all my reviews

I borrowed this series on videotape from my local library after a couple of women in church suggested it to me. I love the show, from its opening music to its silly joke after the credits. Not usually a fan of "foreign" humor but the characters in the series are warm, crazed, real folk who make you smile. Thanks for entertaining me. I would love to have a Vicar just like yours in my town!
