Here’s How Nicolas Cage Might’ve Looked As Superman In Crisis On Infinite Earths
One of the ideas that sadly never came to pass for The CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” involved Nicolas Cage appearing as Superman. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim even approached Cage, a lifelong Man of Steel fan, to show up in the special as his character from the canceled Tim Burton movie Superman Lives. Like a planned cameo from Michael Keaton as Batman though, this idea didn’t pan out, but that hasn’t stopped a fan from imagining what Cage’s Kal-El might have looked like.

As shown in the below image by Instagram user britedit, a current-era Cage is seen as Superman in a costume that partly references the screen test of the actor from the 1990s. The hero appears to be in the Fortress of Solitude as well, with what may be the younger version of the same character in the background. It’s not the best piece of fan art ever,

The Batman Star Jeffrey Wright Reveals Commissioner Gordon's Mustache

The Batman Star Jeffrey Wright Reveals Commissioner Gordon's Mustache
The Batman is currently shooting in London and star Jeffrey Wright has been photographed near the set looking much more like Commissioner James Gordon. Stemming from the original Batman comic books, Commissioner Gordon is very well known for his trademark mustache, a look which has carried over into nearly every movie, television, or animated Batman adaptation featuring the character. As we haven't seen any official photos of Wright in character as Gordon in The Batman, it had been unclear if this new version of the Gotham City Commissioner would retain the character's familiar facial hair, but it now appears we have our answer.

At the Langham Hotel in London, Jeffrey Wright was spotted by a fan who spoke to him about The Batman and even managed to snap a picture. Wright does not appear to be in full wardrobe, as he is dressed casually and likely wasn't filming at the time the photo was taken.

New Batmobile Revealed for The Batman Movie

New Batmobile Revealed for The Batman Movie
As Jim Gordon famously declared in Batman Begins upon seeing a certain customized car abruptly emerge, “I’ve gotta get me one of those.”

The brand-new Batmobile has been revealed in all its horse-powered glory! In the latest tease from The Batman director Matt Reeves, a prominent first glimpse has arrived showcasing his upcoming movie’s take on what is, perhaps, the most iconic car in pop culture history. What’s immediately clear is that this is a conceptual reinvention of the vehicle, seemingly rooted in the theme of the film’s setting during the early era of the Caped Crusader, who will be played here by Robert Pattinson.

‘The Batman’ Director Matt Reeves Unveils First Look at Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile

‘The Batman’ Director Matt Reeves Unveils First Look at Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile
The Batman” director Matt Reeves has released three first-look photos from his upcoming comic book tentpole that unveil the new Batmobile that will be featured in the 2021 movie. The photos feature the vehicle alongside Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne/Batman. The director previously took to social media last month to reveal the first look of Pattinson in costume as Batman. The Batmobile photos have the same dark, noir-ish feel that Pattinson’s Batman screen-test had.

Reeves is currently in production on “The Batman,” which marks his first feature since wrapping the most recent “Planet of the Apes” film trilogy. Pattinson is playing the superhero opposite Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin. Pattinson said in January that his iteration of Batman

Here’s How Jason Momoa Could Look As Kraven The Hunter In Spider-Man 3

Here’s How Jason Momoa Could Look As Kraven The Hunter In Spider-Man 3
Now that Marvel and Sony have kissed and made up, further Spider-Man movies are on the way, with the promise of more of the wall-crawler’s rogues gallery being introduced. Kraven the Hunter is for some inexplicable reason slated to get a solo outing, and fan art has now emerged imagining what Jason Momoa would look like as one of Peter Parker’s deadliest enemies.

The image incorporates the key elements of the big game hunter’s appearance: scarred from battles with the planet’s most dangerous creatures, brandishing an excessive assortment of deadly weaponry, musculature shown off with bare arms, shoulders and chest draped in the mane and face of a skinned lion, along with the more colorful excesses of his attire muted to more sensible hues in keeping with how such characters are often visually reimagined in movies.

‘The Batman’ Camera Test Reveals First Glimpse of Robert Pattinson in Batsuit

‘The Batman’ Camera Test Reveals First Glimpse of Robert Pattinson in Batsuit
Director Matt Reeves took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to share a first glimpse at Robert Pattinson in “The Batman.” Though less than a minute long, this moody camera test offers a good glimpse of Pattinson in the batsuit — at least from the waist up. Watch below.

Production on “The Batman” is currently underway, with Warner Bros. releasing the DC Comics-based tentpole on June 25, 2021. In a recent interview, “The Batman” co-star Peter Sarsgaard (in a still-mysterious role) said that Robert Pattinson’s take on the Dark Knight will be “raw” and “not sanitized.” In another interview, Pattinson himself said his Bruce Wayne will be just as “crazy and perverse” as the unhinged characters he typically plays in indie fare, such as David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” Claire Denis’ “High Life,” the Safdie Brothers’ “Good Time,” Robert Eggers’ “The Lighthouse,” and more. This camera test so far, though, reveals a Batman who looks sleek and polished.

Pattinson’s ‘Batman’ Will Be ‘So Raw’ and ‘Not Sanitized,’ Says Cast Member Peter Sarsgaard

Pattinson’s ‘Batman’ Will Be ‘So Raw’ and ‘Not Sanitized,’ Says Cast Member Peter Sarsgaard
Production on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” is underway, and according to cast member Peter Sarsgaard the final product is going to have a “raw power” to it. Sarsgaard appeared on SiriusXM radio this week for an interview and was asked to tease his role in Reeves’ upcoming Caped Crusader blockbuster. The actor is starring in the film as Gotham District Attorney Gil Colso. Not much is known about Colso as he does not have comic book roots, although fans are already speculating the character might turn out to be Two Face based on the district attorney connection.

Skarsgard could not spill any details about his character, but he did share that filming the project has made it clear the tone of the film will be akin to the mood of alternative rock band Pixies. “It’s so raw in that way,” the actor said while comparing “The Batman” to the Pixies’ music style.

Michael Keaton Was Supposed To Appear In Crisis On Infinite Earths

Although we ended up with a lot of cameos in The CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” there were many that were cut, either for time or due to scheduling conflicts and other reasons. In this context, we missed out on Michael Rosenbaum’s return as Lex Luthor, while it seems other rumors, like Tom Welling appearing in costume, just couldn’t be worked out. One of the more disappointing absences from “Crisis” though was Michael Keaton cameoing as Bruce Wayne, which wasn’t out of the question given some early teases from the production.

According to FandomWire, The CW were keen to bring in Keaton to reprise his role from Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns, even if only for a cameo. In the end, we only received a tantalizing glimpse of Earth-89’s Gotham City skyline, Danny Elfman’s iconic score and Robert Wuhl’s Alexander Knox

What Colin Farrell Can Bring to The Penguin Role in The Batman

Colin Farrell, the Hollywood hunk from Ireland playing the short, obese, pointy-nosed villain known as The Penguin? Now that sounds hard to pull off. The last time we saw the character on the big-screen was in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns. And who played him? The four-foot-ten Danny DeVito, an actor who matched the character’s physical attributes much more closely than Farrell. What made DeVito’s version stand out was his grotesque appearance and apparent lack of humanity. In other words, he was the kind of character Burton would mold in his own image. It was a different take on The Penguin,

‘Birds of Prey’ Director Cathy Yan Reveals the Crucial Advice Patty Jenkins Gave Her

‘Birds of Prey’ Director Cathy Yan Reveals the Crucial Advice Patty Jenkins Gave Her
Just months after Cathy Yan’s feature directing debut, Shanghai-set ensemble comedy “Dead Pigs,” made a big splash at Sundance in 2018, the Chinese-born filmmaker landed a gig helming a giant studio franchise movie, the DC Comics adaptation “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn),” starring Margot Robbie.

Going straight from indie buzz to a blockbuster budget has become an increasingly familiar career path for a hot new director — except for women of color like Yan. For one, despite winning a special jury prize at Sundance, “Dead Pigs,” which is largely in Mandarin (and some English), still doesn’t have U.S. distribution. For another, you can count the number of women who’ve directed a major comic book movie on a single hand. A former journalist, the 33-year-old Yan grew up outside Washington, D.C., on a varied cinematic diet ranging from “The Lion King” and

Two of the Patrick Bateman figures see the character holding an ax while wearing a raincoat, which is taken from one of the most memorable scenes. A variant bloody Chase version of the figure will be available in limited edition, alongside the standard, un-bloody version of the figure in the same pose. There is also a version that sees Bateman in a suit brandishing a knife that will be exclusive to Hot Topic. Funko brought the goods to the London Toy Fair,

DC Comics Honors Penguin Awareness Day with Clever Danny DeVito Tweet

  • MovieWeb
DC Comics acknowledged Penguin Awareness Day with the perfect screenshot from Batman Returns. As it sounds, the idea behind the annual date is to bring awareness and attention to the aquatic birds. While penguins are certainly wonderful creatures adored by all animal lovers, perhaps nobody appreciates them more than Oswald Cobblepot - one of Batman's worst enemies known better by his "Penguin" moniker. With this in mind, DC posted a photo of Danny DeVito's take on Cobblepot from Batman Returns with a caption acknowledging the special day.

The Batman Has a Strong, Feminine Catwoman Inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer
Zoe Kravitz is taking inspiration from Michelle Pfeiffer for her version of Catwoman in The Batman. Matt Reeves is currently shooting his long-awaited take on the Dark Knight story and we've seen some images from the set. Colin Farrell has been spotted as Penguin a few times and Robert Pattinson has been seen as Bruce Wayne, though much of his face was obscured by a motorcycle helmet. However, we have yet to see any images of Kravitz on the set just yet. Thankfully, she has given us an idea of what to expect when the movie hits theaters.

The Batman is going to give us a different view of the Dark Knight and the surrounding characters. Matt Reeves is reportedly taking the iconic character back to his detective roots, though it's unclear what he's doing with the rest of the characters, including Zo&#235 Kravitz as Catwoman. ‘The Batman’: Zoe Kravitz Will Bring ‘Strong Femininity’ to Catwoman, Inspired By Michelle Pfeiffer
Principal photography on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” kicked off this month in England, with Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, his most enduring love interest, with whom he’s had a complex love-hate relationship.

Speaking to reporters on Friday after a Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation for her upcoming Hulu series “High Fidelity,” Kravitz suggested that, in preparing to play Catwoman, she was looking for inspiration from an actress who previously wore the black catsuit in a movie.

“I think Catwoman is an iconic character,” Kravitz said. “I was never into a lot of comic books, but that world was always really intriguing to me. And then of course Michelle Pfeiffer — her performance has always been super inspiring to me. It just felt iconic.”

Michelle Pfeiffer portrayed the character in 1992’s “Batman Returns” opposite Michael Keaton as the dark knight, in a film directed by Tim Burton,

Zoë Kravitz Reveals Why She’s Excited to Play Catwoman: She ‘Represents Very Feminine Power’
Zoë Kravitz is opening up about why she’s excited to step into the “iconic” role of Catwoman.

Three months after People confirmed that the 30-year-old actress had been cast opposite Robert Pattinson in the upcoming The Batman reboot, she’s revealing that one reason she said “yes” to the role was because of Catwoman’s “really strong femininity.”

“I think Catwoman, Selina Kyle represents really strong femininity, and I’m excited to dive into that,” the Big Little Lies star said, speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Friday, according to Variety.

‘The Flash’ And ‘Morbius’: When Superhero Universes Collide

‘The Flash’ And ‘Morbius’: When Superhero Universes Collide
Hero Nation is a weekly column about genre news that now appears on Wednesdays.

The walls separating Hollywood’s superhero universes aren’t as sturdy as they once seemed. On Tuesday night, for example, the Flash from television primetime (portrayed by Grant Gustin) ran into the Flash from feature films (portrayed by Ezra Miller) in an unexpected on-screen moment that also served as a sign-of-the-times in superhero storytelling.

Gustin has been the Fastest Man Alive on the small screen since 2013 and he’s in his sixth season as the title star of The Flash on The CW. Miller, meanwhile, has been the Fastest Man Alive on the silver screen since 2016 and he’s slated to return to the role in 2022 with the first solo Flash movie. The pair crossed paths during The CW’s two-episode finale to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the largest superhero crossover event in television history
