The character of Robocop made an appearance at WCW Capital Combat in 1990 as part of the publicity for Robocop 2. He rescues Sting, one of WCWs top wrestlers from a attack by The Four Horseman. It is widely regarded as one of the worst and most ridiculous moments in wrestling history See more »
As Robocop leaves on his first deployment, an address is shown on his view screen: 34th street and Nash Ave. While the real Detroit has no such streets, this is set in the future, and the streets have simply been renamed or built. See more »

Good morning. I'm Casey Wong, with Jess Perkins. Top story: Pretoria. The threat of nuclear confrontation in South Africa escalated today when the ruling white military government of that besieged city-state unveiled a French-made neutron bomb and affirmed its willingness to use the 3 megaton device as the city's last line of defense.

The Australian free to air version on Channel 10 screened a modified TV version in order to be screened at a 8:30pm time slot. Robocop was classified AO - Adults Only and M when the classifications were restructured in 1993. A majority of the violence was heavily edited and all the f words were edited out. Recent broadcasts have waived the edits and Robocop was broadcast with a AV15+ classification and more recently GO! screened the movie with a MA15+ classification. See more »
Robocop, born of technology is a cyborg, half man/half machine. The future of Law enforcement is here, and he's kicking ass.
Alex Murphy was the unfortunate candidate chosen to be robocop after he was brutally massacred by a gang of scumbag criminals. And the robocop program was brought in, after the E.D. 209 (An all robot killing machine) proto-type failed so disastrously.
Alex Murphy, now Robocop is effectively dead, but he still has a memory, and sets out on a quest to avenge his own Death, by finding the scumbags responsible.
With some quite horrific violence (E.D. 209 and Murphy scenes mainly) and some brilliant action, Robocop is character that you will warm to, as he fights crime on a personal level.
Solid entertainment 8/10
