A teacher who is having an affair with one of his students takes her out on a boat. They see a knife killing on shore. Other gruesome murders start occurring shortly thereafter, and the teacher suspects that he may be the cause of them.
The Case of the Scorpion's Tail begins with the mysterious death of a millionaire and spirals into the murder of his suddenly rich wife, which draws the attention of a dogged investigator, who follows a trail of blood to the bitter end.

When girl with broken ankle get's out of hiding when the killer exit's the villa, she comes close to some black statue. Killer opens the door of the villa and she freezes in place, but she is seen in a different position, watching through the statue, where she wasn't standing in a previous shot. See more »
The UK cinema version released in 1975 was cut by the BBFC after a submitted theatrical run time of 89 minutes 30 seconds (PAL video equivalent of 85 minutes 55 seconds). When released on video in 1993 it was cut by 50 seconds after a submitted run time of 85 minutes 21 seconds. All cuts were waived in 2007 when released on DVD. See more »
