Storyline

1934. Young adults Bonnie Parker, a waitress, and Clyde Barrow, a criminal just released from prison, are immediately attracted to what the other represents for their life when they meet by chance in West Dallas, Texas. Bonnie is fascinated with Clyde's criminal past, and his matter-of-factness and bravado in talking about it. Clyde sees in Bonnie someone sympatico to his goals in life. Although attracted to each other physically, a sexual relationship between the two has a few obstacles to happen. Regardless, they decide to join forces to embark on a life of crime, holding up whatever establishments, primarily banks, to make money and to have fun. They don't plan on hurting anyone physically or killing anyone despite wielding loaded guns. They amass a small gang of willing accomplices, including C.W. Moss, a mechanic to fix whatever cars they steal which is important especially for their getaways, and Buck Barrow, one of Clyde's older brothers. The only reluctant tag-along is Buck's ... Trivia

Michael J. Pollard didn't realize in eating scenes that you don't actually eat all the food because of the possibility of repeated takes. Sure enough, he soon regretted it in the scene in which the outlaws kidnap a couple and eat their lunch in the car. By the twelfth take, Pollard was feeling decidedly ill, having had to eat twelve whole hamburgers. See more »

Quotes

Bonnie Parker: What would you do if some miracle happened and we could walk out of here tomorrow morning and start all over again clean? No record and nobody after us, huh?
Clyde Barrow: Well, uh, I guess I'd do it all different. First off, I wouldn't live in the same state where we pull our jobs. We'd live in another state. We'd stay clean there and then when we'd take a bank, we'd go into the other state.

fun movie
9 May 2018 | by loganalaxanianSee all my reviews

The story of Bonnie and Clyde has always interested me because it is about two of the most wanted outlaws in history. This movie not only showed what it looked like to be a wanted outlaw in the early 1900's, it showed what Bonnie and Clydes relationship might've been like when they weren't robbing banks. Another reason I liked this film was that it went against the Hays Code and proved the code had to end. I also like how fast paced this film was and there wasn't much down time. This film was ahead of it's time and is a very important film that helped change film forever.
