This is my favorite episode of the show and it's another one of my favorite Halloween episodes. This episode plays out like a live action "Scooby Doo" adventure.

What makes this episode for me is the Mayberry Trio, Andy, Barney, and Gomer. This to me is all three of them at their best as their going though their tour of the house together. You can say that Barney and Gomer are Shaggy and Scooby Doo while Andy being the straight man as usual is Fred.

I just love the amount of fright both Barney and Gomer exercise as they are going thought he creepy house both barely able to contain it. Really loved one physical comedy moment when both Barney and Gomer were sticking to Andy like glue, you see as Andy is getting Obie's baseball, they bend with him at the same time and even walk with him shoulder to shoulder.

Even some of the small things from Gomer inadvertently finding a secret passageway, eyes on a painting moving, and even finding an axe that may or may not be the murder weapon of the former occupant; it's just priceless seeing Barney's frightful reactions.

This episode is a haunting good time.
