Margot Robbie Reacts When Michael Strahan Calls Birds of Prey a Marvel Movie

You can’t really blame ABC for wanting to edit out the Marvel/DC gaffe that Michael Strahan committed while talking to the cast of the new movie Birds of Prey since it’s more than a little embarrassing as Sam Stone of Cbr points out. To her own credit though Margot Robbie just smiled a little as the ladies pointed out that there is in fact a difference between the DC and Marvel universe’s. It was an honest mistake that Strahan didn’t mean to make since he’s not the first to do it and he’s definitely not the only one that would

Margot Robbie Hilariously Reacts To Reporter Calling Birds Of Prey An McU Movie

Today, Birds of Prey finally hits cinemas, marking the latest movie to come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe….Wait, what? Yeah, didn’t you hear? The Dceu has been folded into the McU. At least, that’s according to this new interview.

When the cast of Birds of Prey went on Good Morning America, host Michael Strahan got a little tongue-tied while attempting to ask a question about the DC universe, so the words that actually came out of his mouth were “Marvel universe.” Actress Rosie Perez courteously helps him out when he struggles to remember the correct term, but not before we get a hilarious reaction shot from Harley Quinn herself, Margot Robbie.

Following Strahan’s blunder, the camera cuts to Robbie, whose polite smile slightly slips at the Marvel/DC mix-up. Needless to say, the fans are here for it.

Disney Hopes to Wake New Viewers Up to ‘Good Morning America’
The anchors of ABC’s popular A.M. franchise will be wishing “good morning” to some Americans they might not typically see.

In a bid to tout “Good Morning America” to viewers who may not ordinarily watch the show, Walt Disney is getting ready to run a new promo campaign for the program across a wide range of its outlets, including ABC, FX, Nat Geo, Disney Channel, ESPN and ABC-owned TV stations. The promo will launch during ABC’s coverage of the Oscars on Sunday night.

The company has long run promos for “Gma” ( one recent effort showed scenes from the program while Pharrell’s “Happy” played in the background), but this marks the first time it will be doing so with the new media assets purchased from Fox Corporation under its umbrella.

“This is a time of real momentum for our show. And there’s no better time to

Reporter Calls Birds of Prey a Marvel Movie, Watch Margot Robbie's Face
Margot Robbie had a pretty big attitude shift when Michael Strahan called Birds of Prey a Marvel movie. Robbie and the rest of the cast are currently out promoting the latest DC Comics superhero adventure, which hits theaters tonight for Thursdaypreview screenings. While Robbie portrays Harley Quinn on screen, this project is also her baby. She is a producer on the DC film and she had a big hand in everything behind-the-scenes, so it makes sense why she might be more than a little peeved at the Marvel mistake.

Michael Strahan was interviewing Bird of Prey cast members Margot Robbie, Rosie Perez, Ella Jay Basco, and Jurnee Smollett-Bell when he started talking about all of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The camera pans to the cast and one can easily see Robbie's face make a small and subtle change, almost like she's muttering under her breath. The mistake

This Jim Carrey Interview Is So Bizarre You Need To See It For Yourself

This Jim Carrey Interview Is So Bizarre You Need To See It For Yourself
Alrighty then! On Tuesday, Jim Carrey paid a visit to Good Morning America and didn't hold anything back. After being introduced by host Michael Strahan, the funnyman showed the former athlete that he was happy to be in the Gma studio with a serenade. "Strahan," he sang in the tune of Foghat's "Slow Ride" while strumming his leg like a guitar. "Take it easy." Then, before Strahan knew it, Carrey jumped out of his seat and pretended that he was about to snap a football. Looking at the anchor, he joked, "Come on, man. Let's see if you still got it," to which NFL alum replied, "I don't want it. I'm afraid. I don't, trust me." Once back in his...

Jim Carrey can’t be contained.

While stopping by Good Morning America on Tuesday, the actor, 58, spoke with Michael Strahan about his upcoming family flick Sonic the Hedgehog — but not before kicking off the interview by strumming his outstretched leg as a guitar and crouching down in front of the former football pro to see if he’s “still got it.”

“How we’re going to make it through this interview, I don’t know,” joked Strahan, 48.

Just as the talk show appearance got back on track — the subject switching to Carrey playing video games with his 9-year-old grandson — a

In Praise of ‘The Masked Singer,’ TV’s Last Uniter (Column)

  • Variety
This year’s post-Super Bowl program makes a beautiful sort of sense: It’s hard to imagine a more perfect pairing for the NFL than “The Masked Singer.”

That’s true both pragmatically — it’s the biggest hit on Fox’s air right now, so why not let it and the most-watched broadcast of the year pump each other up — and aesthetically. “The Masked Singer” has all the gleeful, slick brainlessness that characterizes America’s most popular sport, the same triumphant sense of production exerting control over potential chaos. And it has none of the downsides. “The Masked Singer,” unusually for the reality genre, is a series fueled by optimism rather than rancor: Its great appeal is its belief in the power of showmanship. In that, it represents spectacle that even football skeptics can enjoy — and it generates the refreshing sense of something stupidly fun enough to be truly mass

Michael Strahan Talks About His Time With Kelly Ripa: “I Thought I Was Coming Here To Be A Partner”
Michael Strahan has spoken out about his time with former cohost Kelly Ripa, saying he arrived at the show and didn’t realize he was a “sidekick.”

In an interview with David Marchese in The New York Times, Strahan opened up about his controversial 2016 departure from Live! With Kelly and Michael. His leaving the show was quick and caused a mini-crisis with Ripa, who took an unannounced week off following the announcement. He officially departed the show May 13, three months earlier than originally planned.

Strahan likened his TV career to his time in the National Football League with the New York Giants, where he starred and has had his number unofficially retired. While acknowledging the physical demands of football, he noted, “But the mental aspect of working in TV is like it was in football. I don’t want to be on the show and feel like everyone else is carrying me.

Michael Strahan Breaks Silence On Explosive Live Departure, Rift With Kelly Ripa

Michael Strahan is opening up about his time as Kelly Ripa's Live co-host, and he makes it clear his turn on the ABC daytime talker was filled with issues.

In an interview with the New York Times Magazine, Strahan teased that he felt like he was not Ripa's equal on the series.

“I didn’t know I was supposed to be a sidekick,” he said.

“I thought I was [going there] to be a partner.”

Strahan stated that he “remained the same person I was from Day 1” of Live.

“[But] when it was time to go, it was time to go. Certain things that were going on behind the scenes just caught up.

“One thing I tried to do is have a meeting every few weeks with her,” he said of his relationship with Ripa.

“We met a few times, and that was fine. But then eventually she said she didn’t need to meet.

NBC News Has Considered Fifth Hour of ‘Today’ (Exclusive)

  • Variety
Under the right circumstances, NBC might want to consider changing the name of its morning franchise from “Today” to “Nearly All Day.”

NBC News has considered the prospect of creating a fifth hour of “Today” on weekdays, according to two people familiar with the matter, the latest nod to the growing spotlight many broadcast networks are giving to news programming across their schedules as more consumers watch scripted programs at times of their own choosing.

“We like serving our audience on any given day of the week. There’s enough going on to fill 24 hours of television,” said Noah Oppenheim, president of NBC News, in an interview. When asked what slot a new hour of “Today,” might fill, he only suggested that “I don’t think it would be earlier” than the 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. block that currently supports NBC’s daytime schedule. But he cautioned: “There are no imminent plans for it,

Rough Morning: How TV’s A.M. News Shows Are Grappling With Trump and Technology
Robin Roberts needs to rely on more than just her journalism training to survive on “Good Morning America.”

ABC News keeps throwing new program configurations at her, so much so that Roberts says she draws upon her childhood experience, when her father had to move from job to job in the Air Force, to keep rolling with them. “I had to make new friends every three years,” she says. On camera at “Gma,” she’s done much the same.

When she joined the show as a co-anchor in 2005, Roberts worked with Charlie Gibson and Diane Sawyer, then just Sawyer. Then she teamed with George Stephanopoulos and a broader “family” of news anchors in a configuration that helped the show surpass its main rival, NBC’s “Today,” in the ratings for the first time in 16 years. Now, “Gma” looks nothing like the program that snatched the viewership crown. In 2020, Roberts is
