The studio is in final negotiations with Megan McDonnell, a staff writer on Marvel-based series “WandaVision” on the project. The 2019 blockbuster “Captain Marvel” starred Brie Larson as Carol Danvers and grossed $1.13 billion worldwide.

Disney and Marvel have not yet set a release date or announced a title for the “Captain Marvel” sequel.

That Petition To Replace Brie Larson As Captain Marvel Has Almost 30,000 Signatures

It seems as though no major franchise these days is safe from the wrath of internet culture, as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker can most recently attest to. With virtually everybody having access to social media in order to make their opinions known, blockbuster movies are now facing constant backlash on an unprecedented level.

One of the more recent high-profile efforts to receive a lot of hate online was Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel, and if you thought that the furor had died down seeing as Carol Danvers’ solo debut was released almost a year ago, you’d be wrong. There’s already been a petition aimed to have star Brie Larson replaced as the title character, although the actress herself admitted that she doesn’t pay any attention to the trolls, while major websites such as Rotten Tomatoes even had to make changes to their algorithm to stop people

Marvel Reportedly Bringing Back Phil Coulson In The McU

Apart from Spider-Man’s Uncle Ben or Batman’s parents, they say that nobody ever really stays dead in comic books. Any character that gets killed off on the page seems to be inevitably brought back at some point in the future, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (McU) appears to be drawing plenty of inspiration from its comic book source material.

Despite being dead in the main McU timeline, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will nonetheless headline her own solo movie next year, while the also-dead Vision will co-headline Disney Plus exclusive series WandaVision alongside the Scarlet Witch, proving that death is no obstacle in the franchise’s quest for world domination.

Of curse, one of the first major characters in the McU to meet their demise was Phil Coulson, who was fatally wounded by Loki in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. Coulson was then brought back again to star in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,

Marvel TV To Shut Down, Current Series Folded Into Marvel Studios
Marvel Television as we’ve known it the past decade will be no more. With its slate dwindling over the past year and its head Jeph Loeb set to depart, the television-focused division of Marvel Studios will be phased out.

The Marvel TV projects that are currently in production will continue but any further development is being scrapped. As a result, a significant portion of the unit’s staff are being laid off, sources said. The executives impacted are said to include Cort Lane, Marsha Griffin, Mark Ambrose, Tom Lieber and Aimee Carlson.

A handful of current Marvel TV executives, led by Karim Zreik, Svp Current Programming and Production, will join the Marvel Studios group to oversee the remaining Marvel TV shows already on the books and on the go.

That includes the announced four animated series and the live-action Helstrom for Hulu and last season of ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,

Jeph Loeb to Step Down as Marvel TV Head

Joseph Baxter Oct 22, 2019

Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb is vacating his position, leaving behind a transformative legacy of comic book TV content.

Marvel’s live-action arena is set for a profound sea change with news of the imminent exit of its longtime television head, Jeph Loeb.

Loeb – an esteemed veteran comic book writer of top-tier titles across all major publishers – who has served as Marvel Studios’ Executive Vice President and Head of Television since 2010, is reportedly set to formally announce his exit by Thanksgiving, according to THR. It seems that Loeb has been planning said exit behind the scenes and is reportedly working on a transition plan for the company.

This news arrives shortly after recent developments have seen Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige receive a wider IP purview under the Disney corporate tentpole, last month brought in as a producer for the Star Wars franchise, and, on October 15, promoted

Agents Of Shield: Leopald Fitz 10 Saddest Moments

For six glorious years, we have had the pleasure of getting to know the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Marvel TV Release Schedule: Every Upcoming McU Series

Gavin Jasper Dec 2, 2019

From Agents of Shield to Moon Knight and more, Here's every Marvel TV show coming to Disney+, Hulu, and ABC!

Even before they had the movie rights to Cain Marko, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been an unstoppable juggernaut. The movies have been making all the money in the world, but Marvel is so rich in characters and concepts that they've begun to encompass the TV and streaming worlds, as well. We’re at a point now where they did 13 seasons of shows on Netflix and those have now been shoved off to the past so they can look into the future.

Marvel TV stuff has always been a little annoying due to the one-way connection it has with the movies. While they’re supposed to share the same continuity, TV will reference the movies while the movies rarely reference TV. You’ll see the Defenders talk about the events of Avengers,

During an appearance a the Dublin Comic Con this past weekend, actor Patrick Warburton has revealed that he’s set to return to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for its seventh and final season, reprising the role of Agent Rick Stoner.

“Yeah I’m coming back. I shot some stuff recently with those guys,” said Warburton via Comic Book Movie. “That was a lot of fun.”

Warburton appeared in the fifth season of The Avengers spinoff via archival footage, with his character being a General and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent from the 1970s.

Given that the final season is expected to see the team travelling through time in an effort to thwart an extraterrestrial threat, it would seem a pretty safe bet that Mack and company will bump into Stoner in his own time period.
