Masters of the Universe Loses Its Release Date to Uncharted, Is He-Man in Trouble?

  • MovieWeb
In news that should come as shocking to absolutely nobody, Sony has taken Masters of the Universe off of its release schedule. The long-awaited movie was supposed to hit theaters on March 5th, 2021, but it has been completely wiped from the studio's slate. The live-action He-Man movie has been in development hell for a number of years and it's beginning to look like the movie may never see the light of day.

Tom Holland's Uncharted adaptation, which has also been in its own development hell, will take the March 5th, 2021 release date. Masters of the Universe fans shouldn't get too discouraged just yet. Star Noah Centineo recently revealed that he is preparing for the role by eating a lot of food. "It's a lot of eating... You would think it's awesome but it's like, 6,000 calories a day," says Centineo, who is currently out promoting the To All the Boys sequel,

Marvel’s ‘Howard The Duck’, ‘Tigra & Dazzler’ Animated Series Scrapped At Hulu

  • Deadline
Marvel is not moving forward with its Hulu animated series Howard the Duck and Tigra & Dazzler, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Deadline. That leaves two Marvel animated series remaining at Hulu, Hit Monkey and M.O.D.O.K.. along with the live-action Helstrom.

All projects originated at Marvel Television, the now defunct television division run by Jeph Loeb, which was shut down last month, with the existing series moved under the oversight of Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.

Tigra & Dazzler had been searching for a new showrunner and writers after parting ways with showrunner Erica Rivinoja due to creative differences. But as of two weeks ago, Hulu brass were still expecting to proceed with the four Marvel animated series as well as Helstrom (the Disney-controlled streamer had previously opted not to proceed with the proposed live-action Ghost Rider series over creative differences.)

‘Howard the Duck,’ ‘Tigra & Dazzler’ Animated Marvel Shows Not Moving Forward at Hulu

  • Variety
Marvel Television’s remaining slate continues to dwindle.

Variety has confirmed that the animated shows “Howard the Duck” and “Tigra & Dazzler” — two of four animated Marvel projects set up at Hulu — are no longer in the works at the streamer. The other two shows, “M.O.D.O.K” and “Hit Monkey,” are currently still on track to be completed. The four shows were to crossover in an event series called “The Offenders,” though that is now off the table given that half the team will not be featured on Hulu as planned.

According to an individual with knowledge of the decision, Marvel ultimately made the call not to move forward with the two shows.

It was reported in December that “Tigra & Dazzler” showrunner Erica Rivinoja and the show’s writing staff had exited over creative differences with Marvel, which led to the show being put on hold. In September,

The Last Thing He Wanted is yet another high-profile film nabbed by streaming giant Netflix for exclusive consumption on its platform.

Brandishing a headlining duo of Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck, The Last Thing He Wanted is a historically-set drama that adapts the 1996 novel of the same name by Joan Didion, which, set in 1984, depicts the ordeal of a reporter (Hathaway) who – during the course of investigating the arming of the Contras – becomes placed in a most perilous position when the guilt-motivated task of visiting for her grieving father (Willem Dafoe) leads her to discover his role as a U.S.-backed arms dealer based in Central America.

Dee Rees directed the film, working off an adaptation screenplay she co-wrote with Marco Villalobos.

A new Masters of the Universe Funko Pop! line has been announced. The popular toy company made the announcement at the London Toy Fair, which is currently under way. The first wave of He-Man Pop! figures were a quick success and the latest wave will certainly replicate that original success, while adding some special additions to the collection. One of those new additions includes a 10" Skeletor figure that looks pretty awesome.

In addition to the larger Skeletor figure, the new Masters of the Universe set includes He-Man with Battle Cat, He-Man by himself, Prince Adam, Sorceress, Tung Lasher, Sy-Klone, Mosquitor, and Webstor. Funko covered most of the well-known characters last time, so it was wise to dive into some deep cuts like Webstor, who will also receive a metallic variety that will be an exclusive to Hot Topic stores. Ed Sheeran’s Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Cameo’s Finally Been Revealed

While Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker didn’t exactly wow critics or fans with its cobbled-together story, it did deliver when it came to interesting cameos. Chances are, we’ll be dissecting the film for some time to come, but a few of the more prominent celebrities who made their own appearances include Lin-Manuel Miranda (who played a Resistance Trooper), Kevin Smith (perhaps the biggest nerd director of our time), and Jeff Garlin, of Curb Your Enthusiasm fame.

Speaking of cameos, there’s one celeb whose mysterious role has been kept a secret, until now. In late 2018, we reported that music sensation Ed Sheeran would be getting his own cameo in The Rise Of Skywalker, but details on his appearance were kept under wraps. However, it looks like the cat’s out of the bag now. As reported by CinemaBlend, the official Star Wars Twitter account recently shared an

‘The Wave’ Film Review: Justin Long Stoner Comedy Not a Wave Worth Riding

‘The Wave’ Film Review: Justin Long Stoner Comedy Not a Wave Worth Riding
Let’s give Justin Long some overdue credit: few everyman actors actively choose to push the edges of their beta-dude personas. There’s always a need for ordinary guys in rom-coms and sitcoms, and Long could easily coast through them.

As often as not, though, he embraces eccentric efforts that remain under the radar, and surely don’t include a mainstream paycheck. Sometimes these risks are so bananas they become unforgettable, like 2014’s “Tusk,” in which Kevin Smith turned Long into a walrus. And sometimes, inevitably, they’re “The Wave.”

Even here, generous viewers might appreciate Long’s commitment to the unusual and unexpected. Through no fault of his, however, they will find both their loyalty and their patience considerably tested.

ABC Wanted to Shrink Robin's Penis, Told Batman Star Burt Ward to Take Pills
Batman TV series star Burt Ward was advised to take pills to shrink his penis. ABC was reportedly nervous about his bulge and wanted him to do something about it, according to Ward. The Robin actor received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame from Kevin Smith over the weekend, which he called "an amazing experience." Ward starred on the hit series from 1966 to 1968 alongside Adam West. The dynamic duo are largely responsible for introducing the Dark Knight to the world.

When one thinks of the original Batman TV series, bulges aren't exactly the first thing to come to mind. The campy 60s show was more about solving mysteries and showcasing villains every week while going off to become completely absurd. However, ABC was having trouble with Robin's bulge. "They thought that Robin had a very large bulge for television," Burt Ward says, before admitting that Adam West apparently had the opposite problem.

Since the show ended, fans have been going back to binge watch the entire series in an effort to look for clues as to where Favreau and Dave Filoni might take us next.

While the latest fan-made trailer for The Mandalorian holds no hints for the future, it has plenty of callbacks to the past. YouTuber Kingkida is the one responsible for the spaghetti western mashup. Kevin Smith recently revealed that he is working on the script for the long-awaited sequel, which has been in various forms of development for years now. Now, after the success of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, Smith has found a way to make it work.

The fan-made poster for Mallrats 2 is a simple design. It takes Kevin Smith's recently announced title Twilight of the Mallrats, and brings forth two palms outstretched with a melting chocolate pretzel presented.
