Brad Pitt movies: 24 greatest films ranked worst to best
Brad Pitt is an Oscar winner but has never taken one home for his acting career. That could change this year as he’s already won a Golden Globe for his stuntman role in the Quentin Tarantino film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” He’s now nominated for the seventh time at the Academy Awards, this time as Best Supporting Actor. It’s his fourth as an actor along with three for producing and “Cool World” (1992). These two flopped so badly they could have derailed his career; however, he proved he could handle meatier roles with “A River Runs Through It” (1992) and could hold his own with blockbuster powerhouses like Tom Cruise in “An Interview with a Vampire” (1994), and Pitt gradually became of the most critically and commercially successful actors of his generation.

During the past 30 years, Pitt as established himself as a versatile actor, equally adept at playing

Bad Boys 3 Stunts Convinced Will Smith That He's No Tom Cruise
Will Smith jokingly thought he was "better than Tom Cruise" before setting out to make Bad Boys for Life. Cruise is still going strong at 57-years old and completing his own stunts, which gave 51-year old Smith the confidence to do the same. However, when it came time to shoot the long-awaited sequel, Smith found himself second guessing himself. You can read what he had to say below.

"I'm trying to hang on. There were a couple of the action sequences that I was like 'oooh.' I started and I told myself I was doing all of my stunts. I was doing -- you know, Tom Cruise was just hanging on the side of an airplane at 50. I was like 'Man, I'm better than Tom Cruise!' And I did like two stunts and I was like 'I'm not better than Tom Cruise!'"

‘Bad Boys for Life’ and 35 Other Movie Sequels That Took Forever to Hit the Screen (Photos)
Whether it’s because of endless delays, fan demands, a director’s passion project or a cash grab reboot that seemingly no one ever actually wanted, Hollywood has produced an enormous amount of sequels to beloved films full decades after they originally hit theaters. Some of them have been wildly successful with critics and audiences, and others we’re just pretending never existed. Here are some of the sequels that took forever to hit the screen.

Bad Boys For Life” (2020)

There had been talk for years about getting the boys back together, and the reunion finally happened this year, with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence teaming up for one last ride. This time however Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are taking over directing duties from Michael Bay.

George Miller took nearly 30 years to follow up “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” with the Tom Hardy-Charlize Theron thriller “Mad Max: Fury Road.

The Texas-born actress began her career in commercials and bit parts in films like “Dazed and Confused” and “Reality Bites” plus lead roles in less than acclaimed films such as one of the many Texas Chainsaw Massacre films. Countries Up Incentives, Capacity to Capture ‘Deluge’ of Global Production, Olsberg Spi Says

  • Variety
There are now around 100 incentive offers at country, state, and province level around the world, looking to attract an “unprecedented deluge” of production globally in 2020, according to creative industries strategy consultants Olsberg Spi.

Many markets are focusing on strategies to expand their production capability in 2020, and an attractive incentive offer is a cornerstone of this, according to Leon Forde, managing director of Olsberg Spi, which publishes an annual incentives index in “World of Locations” and authored “Best Practice in Screen Sector Development,” a study commissioned by the Association of Film Commissioners Intl. (Afci).

For producers, incentives have become a cornerstone of their financing plan, providing a headline rate of around 25% of eligible expenditure.

Recent years have seen growing recognition among governments of the valuable effects that film and high-end TV drama production can bring. This includes economic impact, employment, work-force, skills and infrastructure development, and benefits such as screen tourism and national branding.

Yes, Amazon Is ‘Determined’ to Find a Jack Reacher-Sized Jack Reacher
Jack Reacher has hands the size of Thanksgiving turkeys. You know, unless the beloved character in the popular novels is being played by 5’7” Tom Cruise on the silver screen.

That big-name, small-stature casting didn’t sit well with some diehard fans — a mistake (to some) that won’t be repeated on Amazon’s TV version, which was just ordered to series today.

“It’s pretty interesting. I spent a lot of time talking to David Ellison about this,” head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke said Tuesday at the Television Critics Association press tour. “We really are determined to find somebody who can embody that character for Lee and for all of us. We think that is a great thing and that’s what we want to do.”

‘Edge of Tomorrow 2’ Still Moving Forward as Doug Liman Shares Look at Insane Writing Process

Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi action film built mostly around Tom Cruise dying repeatedly and Emily Blunt doing push-ups, and is therefore a modern masterpiece. Development on a sequel, which kickstarted almost immediately after the film hit theaters in 2014, has been slow going indeed. But we're getting there! Director Doug Liman shared a photo on Instagram—also featuring writer Matt Robinson and producer Alison Winter—of the extremely chaotic energy radiating off his story planning set-up, which at least proves that Edge of Tomorrow 2 is still inching forward. Duel Remake Reportedly In Development, Spielberg And Cruise Being Eyed

Duel is often classified as one of the most underrated thrillers of all-time. Steven Spielberg’s early 70s pic is filled to the brim with tension and intrigue, keeping viewers on the edge of their seat throughout the entire movie. Given its cult status over the years, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before someone decided to remake the action classic and now, that appears to be finally happening.

According to our sources – the same ones who told us Ace Ventura 3 and a new Scream movie are in development, both of which have since been confirmed – a remake of the 1971 film is in the works and those behind the project apparently want to bring Spielberg back to direct. Box Office Predictions for 2020: From Surefire Hits to Potential Busts

Box Office Predictions for 2020: From Surefire Hits to Potential Busts
The box office has something to prove this year.

Moviegoers flocked en masse in 2019 to watch key Avengers hang up their suits and shields, the Clown Prince of Crime descend into madness and Simba take the throne (again). And yet, the domestic box office slipped 4% to $11.4 billion, down from 2018’s record high of $11.9 billion. But despite the downturn in ticket sales, studios and theater owners alike remain steadfast that moviegoing is far from a thing of the past.

Industry experts are optimistic that James Bond, Wonder Woman and Vin Diesel will reignite audience’s fervor for the theatrical experience and entice moviegoers looking for some big-screen pyrotechnics. But amid superhero spinoffs and franchise sequels, there will be inevitable whiffs. Some would-be blockbusters land with a thud (just ask the makers of last year’s “Cats”).

With that said, Variety took a peek inside its crystal ball to predict this year
