It misses some elements to be an excellent movie. Sometimes, the two actors aren't convincing enough. Yet, there are so many good elements here that it makes it surely a pretty good movie. It's hard not to think of Woody Allen movies, of An American in Paris, Paris Blues, and A New Kind of Love. The couple Newman-Woodward comes immediately to mind.
