Storyline

While holidaying in Berlin, Australian photojournalist, Clare meets Andi, a charismatic local man and there is an instant attraction between them. A night of passion ensues. But what initially appears to be the start of a romance suddenly takes an unexpected and sinister turn when Clare wakes the following morning to discover Andi has left for work and locked her in his apartment. An easy mistake to make, of course, except Andi has no intention of letting her go again. Ever. Written by Anonymous

An utter waste of time.

Oh dear. We've seen so many versions of this film before. It's depressing to think of the amount of time and money spent on this. So many dutiful and professional crew members, a lot of talented and intelligent people, and several million dollars all went swirling down the drain for a semi interesting but in the end, pointless and depressing story. What are we supposed to feel when leaving the theatre? If it's a little annoyed, pretty frustrated, and thoroughly depressed, then hats off - job well done. I fail to understand how films like this get made and so many gifted people waste so much time and effort making them. Is it so awful to aim to make a commercial film that a majority of audiences will enjoy? Is that so terrible? With so much wonderful material available to film production companies and talented directors and actors, why is it that depressing and predictable stories like this get made so often. Oh dear.
