When in doubt, get naked
19 February 2014 | by (St. Paul) – See all my reviews

We picked up the first three seasons of "True Blood." What started out as hokey and analogous to civil rights movements and gay rights movements became less and less interesting. The acting wasn't very good and the story always relied on Sookie needing Bill, Bill helping, and Sookie getting mad at Bill because he's a vampire. This theme continues constantly from here on in. By season 2, the show delved into the, when in doubt, add more nudity and sex. By season 3, the show became tired and ridiculous. The acting was already stale. At this point, the stereotypes and idiotic writing were unbearable. They went with the cliché of high society aristocratic vampires wearing leather vs the evil Christians. I found myself laughing at the show rather than with the show... Skip it unless you want to see Anna Paquin's boobs.
