I used to want to save the world. This beautiful place. But I knew so little then. It is a land of beauty and wonder, worth cherishing in every way. But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness simmering within. And mankind? Mankind is another story altogether.

Seriously, what a disappointment. First of all the story and plot could have played out interestingly, if our main character wasn't an imbecile who hasn't hit puberty yet. Seriously how naive can an Amazonian be? She had almost no understanding of the World around her. I know they tried to make it obvious she was a stranger to the World she just entered, but for f***'s sake they didn't have to make her stupid. Her "I don't fit in this World and I don't know the norms" demeanor was cringe worthy on the worst level. She didn't even have much sign of a character development, I couldn't tell much difference between the imbecile that left Themyscira and the imbecile that flew out to the clichéd setting sun. I can't tell if Zack Snyder was being sloppy with his script or director Patty Jenkins was the one who gave sloppy direction. Gal Gadot gave at least a decent performance in spite of her uninspired character. Speaking of characters, all the main characters were stereotypes. The good guys were good, the bad guys were bad. It was like watching an awful Disnéy movie. I know it has to be brain dead to please the mass audience, but they didn't have to make it that blatantly simple. Oh, the evil "Germans" gave such poor impressions of being German, with that budget they could at least have had the decency to hire some German actors and let them speak German. But no, they have to speak English with a cringe worthy accent because Americans are too lazy to read subtitles.
Speaking of budget how poorly can fight scenes be choreographed? How poorly can such an expensive movie use such bad camera angles in front of something as simple as a green screen? They were also poorly edited. If you want a good example of a great fight scene choreography, look at Kill Bill Vol. 1. Kill Bill Vol. 1 fight scenes had good camera angles, great choreography, outstanding editing, spectacular stunts and intensity. Wonder Woman fight scenes lacked all of that. Kill Bill Vol. 1 whoops Wonder Woman with only a $30 million budget. For the $149 million budget the special effects weren't even that impressive to look at either. To make it worse, they filmed them in slow motion (maybe because they were too lazy to choreograph any fight scenes so they had to make them overlong? Maybe also to compensate for the sluggish plot progression?). Not to forget about the s***** generic jokes and gags that are apparently now mandatory in a politically correct blockbuster. After Batman V Superman I was really looking forward to see what they would do with Wonder Woman's origin, since I thought Batman V Superman was fantastic and Suicide Squad wasn't so shabby. But what we got is an imbecilic main character, sluggish plot progression, poor character development, lazy story, cringe worthy fight scenes, poor camera angles, so-so special effects, mind numbing gags and jokes and an uninspired climax (obviously ripping off Captain America). I'm really tempted to call this movie a steaming pile of turd. Oops, already did.
