Kimmel Brings Son to Live in Emotional Plea for Kids' Health Care Funding

Jimmy Kimmel returned to his late-night perch on Monday night, and he had one adorable co-host in tow.

Kimmel took last week off from hosting Live while his son, Billy, recovered from heart surgery — and upon his return, he made a tearful plea to the nation’s political leaders to renew funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (Chip), which has gone more than 70 days without Congress’ approval for more money.

The Voice Top 8 Performance Recap: Which Singers Aced Their Semifinals?

Since we already pretty much knew that The Voice was heading for a Chloe Kohanski/Addison Agen showdown in next week’s finals, there was nothing to do during Monday’s performances by Season 13’s Top 8 but sit back, chillax and enjoy. With last week’s elimination of Ashland Craft and Shi’Ann Jones, the likelihood of a sonic train wreck was greatly reduced. And the remaining singers were ordinarily all, even on an off night, decent. Which of them stood out, though, solidifying for themselves a place alongside Chloe and Addison in the finals? Read on; we’ll discuss. »

Lucifer's Tom Ellis: Sinnerman Story Twist 'Opens Up a Nice Can of Worms,' Tees Up a 'Strange Bromance'

Lucifer‘s fall finale steered the Sinnerman story in an unexpected direction — one that cast Detective Marcus Pierce in a whole new light.

RelatedWhen Will Your Favorite Shows Return From the Holidays?

Determined to find out what his freshly-blinded tormentor truly desires, Lucifer conspired with Chloe to sneak the Sinnerman out of Lapd custody and have him lead them to the location of an (allegedly) imperiled young woman. No dummy, Pierce got wise to the duo’s duplicity and tagged along, yet even that added manpower couldn’t keep Lucifer from absconding with his adversary.

Fuller House Season 3B Trailer: D.J. Takes the Plunge, But Is It With Steve?

Wanna know how much insanity is packed into this recently released trailer for the second half of Fuller House‘s third season? A real-life crocodile makes itself at home in the clip… and that’s still not the part that’s got us talking.

The Walking Dead's Chandler Riggs Was Blindsided by 'Devastating' Twist

The following contains spoilers from the fall finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead pulled a bite-and-switch during Season 8’s fall finale, when after getting people thinking that Lucille might have a date with someone else’s cranium, no heroes wound up stepping up to the bat.

Alas, the episode’s final moments revealed that there would be a casualty nonetheless — because Carl had been bitten by a walker in the course of transporting Siddiq.

Golden Globe Nominations 2018: My Snappy Judgments

11 December 2017 6:09 AM, PST

The Golden Globe nominations were, as per usual, a mixed bag (full list here). For every inspired nod (congrats, Rachel Brosnahan!) there was one that had me scratching the skin off my scalp (nothing for The Leftovers?!). So without further adieu, I give you the good, the bad and the downright ugly from this year’s list.

I’m Super-Ecstatic About:

* Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel sneaking into the super-competitve best comedy series category. Also: The aforementioned Brosnahan scoring a nod for her breakout performance in the title role.

* Will & Grace getting a best comedy nod after a decade away. »

Golden Globes 2018: 26 Biggest Snubs

11 December 2017 6:07 AM, PST

Nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards were announced Monday, and while many TVLine staples scored well-deserved nods, not everyone came out a (potential) winner.

In this age of #PeakTV, there simply aren’t enough slots for all the talent on the small screen. So while we applaud those who did receive nominations this year, we’d also like to tip our collective hat to the shows and stars that didn’t make the cut… but still deserve critical recognition.

Among the most egregious snubs this year were Will & Grace‘s Debra Messing (both the show and Messing’s co-star »

Need to catch up? Check out the previous Outlander recap here.

Claire, may I humbly suggest that you never set foot on a seafaring vessel ever again?

If the vagaries of 18th-century sea travel aren’t tough enough on their own, this week’s Outlander caps a season in which Mrs. James Fraser was pressed into service as a ship’s doctor, was forced to live aboard a boat full of men dying in extremely disgusting fashion, jumped overboard to escape said boat and then wound up on another ship and weathered a seriously scary storm before nearly drowning when »
